Myself and 2 friends stayed at the peacockes hotel for a night while we were walking the western way. We got to the hotel tired from a hard day of walking and from the moment we entered we felt very welcome we were shown straight to our lovely room. We had dinner in the bar that evening where there was...

Visited during the Connemarathon this year. The overall service for the marathon was excellent. Plenty of facilities and direction to ensure all were catered for. After - the bar had an amazing atmosphere. Live music playing and the aesthetics are great within. Highly recommended for a visit next time you're in the area !

We stoped in Maam Cross waiting for a friend to pick us up through the Connemara. Was my first visit there, and the first contact was so good. Entered in the hotel, followed the corridor to find the bar. Really nice place. So comfy next to the fire with a fresh Guiness. 4 girls were playing irish music with quite...

Right on the main road, but good parking. Reception area bright and inviting. The gift shop has the very best of Irish designed goods, has something for everyone. The bar has a roaring turf fire, plenty of warmth and that welcoming smell of turf. The bar service quick and friendly and their seafood chowder well worth making a detour. Toilets...

Dear guest, Delighted to hear you enjoyed your visit with us. The Quiet Man was indeed filmed locally; the homestead in the film is just 4 miles away and the bridge is also local to Peacockes. Hope to see you again sometime, Regards Brid & Eoin

Myself and 6 members of the family stayed here last Thursday night before we moved further up the country for a wedding. We arrived about 5 minutes to 8 in the evening and we were just in time to order food before the chef finished, we are in the bar which had a stunning open turf fire burning, I had...

A fantastic stop in the heart of Connemara. I have stopped there on numerous occasions with small groups of tourists. The gift shop is well stocked and has lots of Irish produced goods at very competitive prices. The food is excellent, good variety and great value for money. As I am always driving (with Ireland West Tours) when I get...

Although we did not stay at this hotel the owners were a great help to us when we needed it. Even though we did not stay there they jumped at the chance to help us. We were a bit lost looking for the filming sites for "The quite man" They helped us find the sights, open their store for us...

We stayed three nights in this lovely hotel at the the base of the Connerama Loop. The food was quite good, and we loved sitting in the pub area with the peat fire warming our bones after a day exploring the region. The best part of the stay was the wonderful and friendly staff.

Just spent two days in Peacockes for business reasons. Staff were really helpful and nothing was too much bother to set up for meetings etc. The food was really excellent and included their Chowder, Fishcakes, Goats cheese Salad and also Roast Chicken. Breakfast was freshly cooked and well worth the few minutes wait. Don't pass by- stop and sample the...
