Great welcome on arrival. Room was perfect. Lots of info from reception on walking. Blonde receptionist, sorry didn't get your name! was really helpful and very pleasant. Good food in the very relaxing bar....just a great place to unwind after a day's walking. Will be back!

It is a good place if you just want to chill out in rural ireland, i assume from the location it is just for people who are travellign around ireland because there is nothing around the area. good i guess for cyclists etc to have a stop off and a night in a hotel.

We stayed here recently as a stop off night on our way to Inismore traveling from Wicklow. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The gentleman at reception and at the bar (sorry I didn't catch his name) was so kind and kept us both dinner as we arrived late. Room was very clean and spacious with strong shower. Lovely... More

Stayed here for one night with a friend last Saturday night. Found hotel clean and comfortable, bathroom was a little bit outdated but was adequate. Food was lovely, dinner was served till 9pm and breakfast was served till 11am which was great as most places finish breakfast much earlier. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This was a great place for a comfort stop. We were able to sit in front of a turf fire and have a coffee or tea (beer available as well). Enjoyed the gift shop and facilities and then went out to visit the traditional cottage.

Stayed fo 3 days as the venue is perfetly situated fior Recess and Oughterard. The water was very discoloured and some what off putting to look at. The staff here are fantastic and couldn't do enough for you. The hotel is in dire need of major updating and refurbishment. The rooms are clean but tired. The TVs need to be... More

We were seated in quick fashion and the food choices given were all delicious. Staff who waited on us were efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend this place for anyone not just big groups like ours. The gift shop is chock full of beautiful items and there is a tower you can go up into in order to get... More

Wonderful, quaint hotel. Great staff. In fact, a wonderful, helpful, friendly staff who did everything they could to accommodate our needs. Wonderful breakfast. I hope to visit again. We are older, so they put us in a ground floor room near the restaurant. The owner even opened the gift shop early the day we left so we could buy a... More
