This place Is great! Ever since it came under new ownership 2 years ago its become One of the hidden gems of Connemara. Its got the lovely charm of a family run hotel, and its just so welcoming between the warm cosy bar that they have with an open fire that is lit everyday of the year! The staff are... More

Check my profile I never really review unless either really bad or really good. I called her twice, both times on road with work stopped in for the lunch. Cold wet miserable Wednesday, fire was on.. Place full of passers by looking to refuel / warm up, couple of locals at bar also, ordered lasagne, good man size portion ..... More

We stopped at Peacocks Hotel as we recalled the pub there had a most excellent fish chowder. Would it still be as good as it was on our last visit - was the experience on our last visit some sort of anomaly? ... ... ... Delighted again! Yea! Warm and pleasant pub. Service is polite and attentive. Food is great.

I was driving through Connemara with my Mum looking for somewhere to view the recent All Ireland Hurling Final and I decided to stop here at Peacockes Hotel. This hotel is just a superb place to visit with loads of history. We decided to have lunch from the carvery and the food was simply mouthwatering... We sat in the bar... More

We love the traditional Irish atmosphere with nice efficient staff, flexibility in the breakfast hours rare in hotel, nice dinner food in a lovely indoor Pub, quality indoor gift shop and a top location in the Connemara!

Was surprised to come on this gem in the hills of Connemara, a great location right in the heart of all this beautiful area has to offer. Fantastic food, beautifully presented. The bar menu has a lovely selection of dishes but fish and chips are a must if you are longing for some fresh, tasty food. The mussels are also... More

We were touring Connemara on Sunday and stopped at Peacockes for lunch. We had an amazing dinner followed by dessert served by friendly, pleasant and helpful staff. Best Meal in Connemara and will not leave disappointed. Would come back again.

The booking said the room would have a flat screen satellite TV it didn't. The water in the hotel is very discoloured, we were advised that although it doesn't look good it is safe to drink, however they will give you clear drinking water in the bars. There was no wifi signal in the bedroom and it was very poor... More

We stayed in Peacockes in August for four nights. This was our third stay in this lovely family owned and run Hotel. Our lovely room had been recently refurbished. I especially enjoyed the breakfasts which were served up until noon. We dined there every evening after touring around Connemara and the evening menu didn't disappoint either. A warm and relaxed...
