The most beautiful scenery you are ever likely to see. Connemara and Ballinahinch Castle right in the middle of it all !! We often go here for lunch and walk around the grounds. The lunch is nice though the menu is limited. Their chowder is very good and the staff are nice but a bit .. They could with loosening...

My daughter and I stayed at the Ballynahinch and I can't say enough good things about our experience there. The rooms were exquisite and the many areas of the property to just sit and enjoy a conversation were beautiful beyond words. The dining was second to none and I hope to return there again someday.

My sister in law got married here and we stayed for 2 nights. Perfect setting for a wedding. Beautiful property, gorgeous scenery! I took several walks and it was very peaceful. The bed was comfortable and we were able to get a good night's sleep. The breakfast was good.

My wife and I went over to Connemara for a short break on 3rd January. We expected things to be quiet after Christmas and new year festivities but were surprised to find the place full.Lovely log fires greeted us.Surprised that there were no coffee making facilities in the room. however a quick phone call to reception and coffee was delivered...

It's a bit shabby chic in some areas, but feels very British in that regard...much like you would think an Irish castle-home would feel in the Irish countryside. Ballynahinch has a magnificent setting, very rural and gorgeously landscaped, yet in a rustic manner. One of the nicest touches is that guests may purchase a tree to be planted on the...

I'd often visited Ballynahinch on family holidays in my childhood and my parents stay in the hotel every year for my Dad's birthday. Last year my family and I stayed for 2 nights over NYE and enjoyed a 5 course black tie meal. I'd requested a luxury room, thinking these all had 4 poster beds and I was a bit...

We visited in May 2016. This was among the highlights of our trip...so why only 3 stars, you ask? It's a mixed bag. The estate was lovely, and our rooms were gorgeous. We had a walkout onto a terrace overlooking the river, and you could hold a banquet in the room itself. The furnishings were a little dated and well-used....

We stayed here Dec 21-23rd as part of our family adventure to Ireland. (15 of us!) Our experience was extraordinary. The grounds are beautiful, the food was excellent, the rooms were comfortable and lovely and the staff were all helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure we felt at home. One night we all gathered...

Had lunch in the bar on New Years day. I did not complain as I had a guest. Menu choice very poor. Guinness stew, pasta or sea food platter for two Over priced for pub grub with pretensions. We have had both good and bad meals in the past, would not be returning. Lovely setting, perhaps just have a coffee....

Had a fabulous stay at Ballynahinch recently. It's a very comfortable hotel in a stunning setting. We really enjoyed everything it had to offer. The only negative, which I was surprised about, was the staff who, despite being very efficient, seem to be without genuine care or personality. I would say the only exception was the bar manager (older, local...
