This Hotel is wonderful, close enough to the Burren and close enough to Galway city to facilitate visiting these lovely places. The food served in the Hotel is excellent and reasonably priced. The family room we stayed in was large with a nice sized bathroom, redecoration may be needed soon.

After being closed down and changed ownership a few times of late, we popped in for family dinner with our children and friends after an afternoon on the Burren. Lovely food, tasty, well presented and good value. The menu is quite straight forward but sometimes simplicity is good! We certainly enjoyed it and hope to go back again. Worth a...

Had the most fantastic weekend break in the Merriman Hotel Kinvara Co Galway. Excellent food and entertainment. Quiet secluded village but regular bus service to Galway City. Would absolutely go back to the hotel

I went here with my mother for the weekend. I was not too captivated by the outside but inside it was cosy, quaint and inviting. Charming and picturesque decor and lovely warm reception. The staff were exceptionally friendly. Always smiling, extremely helpful and a delight. The food was fine, nothing too fancy but the portions were a good size. The...

Used to go here quite a bit. Food was always hit and miss. Service was usually good. Shame what's happening now...food is more often than not miss and service is non existent in the bar. A few of the barmen do their best and are good but the general feel of the place esp from the waitresses who quite simply...

Great location for visiting the many local attractions. Hotel has a very layback and relaxing atmosphere with very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff, especially Martina in the dining room who served us a very tasty and enjoyable breakfast on both mornings. Could'nt have asked for more. Lobby, dining room and bar clean and nicely decorated. Room comfortable and spacious. Overall...

As a photographer and guide I always try to find hotels close to my tours departure and the Merriman hotel is ideal for tours of the wild Atlantic Way, including the cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Galway city and so many other great sites of interest of which there are too many to mention here. The hotel from the outside...

The hotel lobby area and bar are nice enough. The rooms were not very clean. There was dirt down the toilet which went away after I flushed so wouldn't have taken a lot to clean this. There was also a stain under the sink (obviously from someone spilling something) but it was obvious that the bathroom got little more than...
