Popped into the Cooky Monster Cafe for a bite to eat on our travels around the Bridia Valley. We were made feel v welcome and even got introduced to Lilly the dog. I had a bowl of home made tomato soup with lovely brown bread. The soup was v tasty. Himself had the buttermilk scones with jam and cream and...

Two friends and I recently hiked the Kerry Way. On our second night on the trail we found ourselves wet, hungry, and tired at the door of the Cookie Monster Cafe and Stepping Stone Bed and Breakfast. Upon entering we were met by a very rude man who yelled at me because I did not immediately understand his question about...

We stopped here while hiking the Kerry Way. The owner was outside and I asked if I could use the bathroom. He angrily said not unless you buy something and he went inside. We immediately try to tell him "no problem, we will buy something." We were cold and hungry. We went inside - he continued his rudeness and we...

We just got back from a wonderful honeymoon in Ireland. This is the first place we stayed and had pre-booked to stay at the campsite in our campervan for 1 night. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. So we decided to book in for a second night. We also booked in for an evening meal which was superb, all...

We stayed two nights in our campervan, eating dinner in the restaurant/cafe one night. Really friendly helpful owners and the dinner was delicious - almost licked my plate! Thank you Jonny & Mandy for everything!

Owners John and Sandy were super friendly and attentive during our stay here in August. The dinner provided was simply delicious as was the breakfast. The B&B is set in a most beautiful location along the Kerry way which is not to be missed.

This guy has serious anger issues. We stopped in there to have lunch while hiking the Kerry Way. After giving our order, we were joined by 2 other hikers. My husband went to let the owner know that we had two others and he basically went ballistic yelling that Americans were so rude and why would we need to tell...

While hiking on the Kerry way, we stopped there to ask if they served any food for dinner, but they only serve after reservations (not much flexibility). Then we asked the distance for the next place where we could buy dinner, and they said we should go to Glencar (which is not true, since accommodations/snacks are also provided just over...

Worst experience during my whole Ireland trip-don't go there! After a very difficult hike from Black Valley over the mountain passes in really horrible weather conditions (stormy winds and heavy rainfalls) I was so happy to reach the Cookie Monster cafe and was longing for a hot drink and warm up a bit. Since it was a quarter to 11...
