My boyfriend and I stayed at the Moate Lodge B & B last week for one night as we were travelling through Ireland and we could not have asked for a better experience. The property is huge, beautiful and peaceful, and the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Mary and Raymond, the owners, were two of the nicest people I've...

Mary and Raymond made me feel very welcome, as if I was their personal guest. The room was well appointed and en suite. Breakfast had a wide choice of cooked food, cereals and toast, all taken around a large dining table. The house is a beautiful 18th Century farmhouse and is in a working farm. Tea and coffee making facilities...

3 of us stayed in the family room All had a very comfortable bed . Breakfast was good and Mary kindly cooked at whatever time we asked. A lovely location we had gorgeous weather and it was ideally situated for our visits to the Curragh , Punchestown , and the Wicklow Mountains .

We received a wonderful welcome to Moate Lodge.....Mary made us tea and homemade cakes after showing us to our very spacious room. It was beautifully decorated in a country style with lots of extra touches. The carpet was obviously new and very nice. The sparkling en-suite had a power shower and was very well equipped with everything we might need....

Mary and her family welcomed me into their home on a wet September evening. I was met with a friendly welcome, accompanied by warm scones and tea; much needed! Moate Lodge has lots of character and Mary and Raymond are so generous to share it with us. The room had everything one could want. It was both cosy and spacious.with...

Just wanted to say that we received a very warm welcome in this Old Irish Country House. A beautiful setting close by to Athy, was perfect for our over-night stay. The House was full of charm, spacious, clean and perfect for what we needed. Would highly recommend it as a B&B! Mary & Raymond were great hosts and couldn't do...

We had a terrific two night stay at Moate Lodge. Our hosts, Mary & Raymond, were gracious and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our room was very comfortable, with three beds, so there was plenty of room for our family. The 1740 lodge is part of a farm with a lovely setting, not too far from the town of...

We stayed three nights at Mary & Raymonds beautiful olde worlde Moate Lodge. Couldnt fault the welcome and took full advantage of their encyclopaedic local knowledge, which came in handy tracing my Athy ancestors. Breakfast was a treat and the rooms were spotless. A lovely quiet and rural setting to watch the summer harvest around us, but 10 mins from...
