My husband and I spent two nights at Lynham's Hotel on a voucher deal which included breakfast, one main course each in Jake's Bar, a packed lunch on one day and a late checkout. When we arrived we didn't think much of the place from outside. The fact that, on entering, there was nobody at reception and we had to... More

Just a quiet hotel at a intersection near Glendalough. Good bar/restaurant and serviceable rooms. The "river" view is more of a creek. Very homey. Breakfast buffet is a little light but still has all the staples.

This was a wonderful surprise. During our tour of County Wicklow we stopped here for lunch. We wanted to get Guinness stew and buddy this one was spot on. The beef melted in our mouths. A definite stop!

A large group of us stayed last weekend. Food, accommodation & service was all excellent and I didn't hear a single complaint, which is unusual in a group of 30+ We had dinner in the bar on Friday night and both my venison sausage starter & steak sandwich main were very good. Saturday night was a group dinner (duck spring... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in June 2014. Firstly when we couldn't find the reception after parking our car, very badly sign posted. We asked 2 ladies who were outside smoking where receptionwas and they directed us. Got the fright of my life when I seen the big metal 'art' statue upon finding reception. This thing is holding a gun... More

We were to stay two nights in Lynhams but due to unforeseen circumstances we were only able to stay one. As a result Aoife made sure that it was a wonderful short stay. A lovely large bedroom with a view and the sound of the river. It was my partner's birthday and when we got to our room there was... More

Brought some visitors from Oz here a while back and it was perfect right in middle of things with friendly service, clean rooms and good value. Its a standard family hotel in good location so don't expect the 4* treatment but the overall cosiness and care more than make up for any facilities you might want. PLUS big attraction is... More

On a journey between Aughrim and Dublin we decided to call into Lynams for some light lunch and coffee. We parked nearby as two car spaces were taken up outside by the Lynams Coach directly outside the front door so convenient parking for customers was not on offer (1). Upon entering we were greeted by a nice lady who asked... More

We visited Lynhams again for four nights at the end of October. We received our usual great welcome, and the quality of the food in the bar has definitely improved since the last time we were there. The bar prices are similar to the ones you'd find in Dublin. The bar is full of locals as well as visitors, and... More

I went to the Laragh area for some walking today and decided to call into to Lynham's for a sandwich. Decided to use the toilet first and had to abandon this due the filthy state of the two toilets. Needless to say we did not stop to eat.
