My son and I stayed at this hotel in November 2021, the hotel was warm and staff welcoming. Our rooms were cleaned daily and stocked up with tea coffee biscuits. We ate mainly in the bar as being out of season there were not many guests. On being informed my son was lactose intolerant and I was a vegetarian, we had several choices each evening..Staff were polite and very attentive always wore their masks while working, which made us feel very safe.

A return visit after an absence of a few years. The room was lovely and spacious with a large bathroom. The bed was lovely and comfortable and we could not fault the accommodation. The buffet breakfast was very good and ample choice . The evening meals were superb and one of the best we have had in any hotel for a long time. The service was excellent and we looked forward to seeing the menu every evening. The hotel has a small car part but secure , it could be difficult to find a place to park in high season. The location was good and an easy walk into town. Will definitely stay again when returning to Jersey.

The staff are truly what make this hotel good. Some names In particular to mention are Kennedy on reception who was always smiling, helpful and friendly and went out of his way to help us. He really was on the ball and sorted everything quickly! Also Robert and Stanley on the bar stood out to us for their friendly manner and great customer service! I also want to mention the new assistant manager who went out of his way to carry my friends bags to her room for her when we arrived as she has broken her foot. Hotel location is very good near the centre, hotel offers free parking in a safe pin controlled carpark, hotel offers nice food, our room had comfortable beds and was clean! it was very good value for money and I would recommend it! Only things that could be improved on are 1. Access for those with disabilities could be better. My friend had broken her foot and there are steps everywhere inside and outside the hotel and no slopes. Lifts do not go to every floor either. 2. You can hear the traffic quite allot from the rooms. I guess you are in the centre of town but not sure if any improvements could be made to the windows.

Response from Manager Jersey, General Manager at Best Western Royal Hotel
Responded 10 Nov 2021
Our team at the Royal are delighted with your kind comments regarding our staff and thank you for recognising some of our team personally by name. Your custom and recommendation of our catering and value for money is also appreciated. We are a long established Best Western hotel close to the St. Helier high street and to the popular Millennium Town Park. Much accommodation near our lift is accessible without internal steps and such bedrooms may be requested when booking. Requests may be also be made for non-road facing bedrooms as we have large terrace areas internal to our building complex at the Royal. We hope these comments are helpful to prospective guests and thank you once again for your valued feedback and 5* review.

This hotel is pretty central closed to the shopping area and restaurants. It has free parking but parking spaces are tight and several cars didn't park very well. We only had a small car but did struggle to park. There is no off street parking close by so if you can't get a space you would have to go to the sister hotel 5 minutes walk away. The hotel manager was very welcoming. He came out and moved his car over a bit so we could get our car in. Rooms were not big but big enough for one person. Bed was comfy. We could hear functions going on both nights in the conservatory but they did stop before midnight. Otherwise rooms were quiet.

Thank you for your feedback and custom. It is wonderful that you found our beds to be comfortable. We take our choice of bed seriously and have had the same brand supplier at the Royal for many years. Overflow parking if ever needed is always available at our sister hotel close-by and both car parks are free of charge. Most bedrooms at the Royal are very generous in size and larger bedrooms may be requested if required. Also, quieter bedrooms may be requested if noise were ever to be a concern. Thank you for your kind comments regarding our service which has been greatly appreciated by our team at the hotel.

The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was excellent full complements to the chef. The hotel is situated about 15 minutes walk to liberation Square. There are plenty of supermarkets in the area close by, they are quite small but have a lot good variety of goods.
