Really nice little pub with some amazing food (esp seafood dishes). A fine array of ales and very friendly folk at the helm. We stayed in a rather quirky but very comfortable room at the back of the pub. The inside of the place is done out like a boat / ship. A bit weird at first, but I liked...

Firstly... Dog greeted & looked after Secondly... Fabulous Vino Thirdly... Best Roast I've had all Yr. Closely followed by their delectable Sticky Toffee Pud & ice cream. Always Book & sit in Bar the Bar area. Take a stroll to the Beach after then back for more open fire, dogs & vino. What more could you ask on a Sunday....

Went today after reading the good reviews must have picked a day the kitchen porter was cooking as I would be ashamed as a chef to say I had cooked this food , I had the fish pie which I guess had been heated up in a microwave and peas that tasted sour my husband opted for the cod goujons...

Great location for walks with the dog onto the part of the beach that dogs are allowed on all year, I think the restrictions are lifted after September, but there is plenty of the beach open all year for dogs. The Sloop Inn is a little gem, the rooms are basic but adequate, however we didn't spend much time in...

Great food and lovely to mingle with the locals! Good portion sizes and lovely home cooked food. Especially the desserts. Very dog friendly and cosy. We found the staff to be friendly and service was with a smile!

What more could you want. A Great location. Friendly people. And very good food. Basic room and the better for it. Un-pretencious and fun. Dogs also loved it. Although we did not book to eat on a very busy Saturday night we were found a table very quickly.

We visited the Sloop Inn for lunch, but it was a little disappointing overall. The original pub area is nice and old, but the extension is a bit like a village hall! Fortunately we were able to sit in the original pub area. The food we ordered was OK. The fish (with the fish and chips) was good, but the...

Chose to visit because of their website. Bar area looked lovely, but shown to an area that can only be described as a panelled village hall. Ordered whole plaice which turned up with about 12 anchovies draped across it, accompanied by an array of onions, peppers, courgettes and tomatoes which had been so microwaved they were inedible, the supposed local new...

The bar area is quite quaint, but the restaurant area is over-themed as a comedy sailing ship - badly. Lighting is too bright, nothing smaller than a table for 4, food OK, but nothing special (despite prices being a tad on the high side), service perfunctory and adequate. Caters for families on holiday and I guess the sailing ship theme...
