We stayed here around 25 years ago and a lot has changed since then, new owners took over around three years ago and are extremely welcoming along with their friendly staff. We stayed in one on the suites with the benefit of your own sitting room, this had been freshly decorated and upgraded. One or two minor issues with the...

We decided to stop at a hotel on the way to Cornwall and thought it would be difficult to find a good quality dog friendly hotel until we saw Mill End in Chagford. A lovely hotel with a warm welcome and dogs very welcome in the rooms and bar area.

A last minute booking took us here for a weekend break. What a lovely hotel. Right on the doorstep of beautiful countryside, gentle riverside walks and bordering the estate of nearby Castle Drogo National Trust estate. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely and clean , very well presented. We stayed in Bovey which has views of...

Have often been passed the Hotel so decided, after a wonderful Bluebell walk nearby, decided to try it out. Pretty disappointing all round. Over priced lunch and the final flaw was the tiny portion of chips that came with steak( no steak knives offered) and when we queried the amount of chips,, the chef sent a message back to our...

We appreciate your feedback and I am sorry you didn't enjoy your lunch here. I do think some clarity would help to demonstrate the 'other side' as it were. Our chips are triple cooked and 1 portion of 9 (they are stacked in rows of 3 in perfect blocks to enhance the presentation) equates to roughly 1.5 jacket potatoes due...

Thank you for your comments and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Having recently visited a boutique hotel with similar drinks at twice the price we are charging I think it's very much down to location and product to determine what a reasonable price is for the bar. Our beers at £4 and wines from £4.50 are of...

Really friendly staff, an excellent chef, a great room with a wonderful balcony over looking the English county side and peace! What more can one ask for? The name of our room was Dart on the first floor, good size bedroom and bathroom. We eat in every night why bother going out when quality is on the door step?

Such a wonderful hotel in a beautiful location right by the River Teign. We stayed in the Harbourne Junior Suite, right at the top of the hotel with dual aspects - views over the gardens on one side and river on the other. The room was tastefully decorated, comfy bed and freestanding bath in the room. Nice monsoon shower and...

Breakfast was substantial, and really sets you up for the day. Evening meal was excellent on each night. Will definately return!

Small boutique country hotel just outside the village of Chagford on the north east side of Dartmoor. The rooms are of a reasonable size. The ambiance was quite with a cosy feel to the place. Good quality restaurant serving dinner and classic English breakfast. Lots of car parking close to the hotel.
