A group of us went to eat here. The food was excellent the value excellent and the service excellent. We all ate different things and all were delighted. The menu was interesting and varied, we were all drawn to several things. When the food arrived which was not excessively long, we had a well balanced plate of (tender) meat or...

We visited for drinks and food but did not stay. A pleasant welcome and good food at very good prices. Lovely cod and chips for my wife and a very nice steak and chips for myself. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. I will definitely stop there again when next in the area.

At first you could be mistaken that this is just a pub with rooms, it is a lot more than that, the staff are spot on the food and accommodation is spot on, the location is perfect and there is a lot of places to visit in the area and a great deal of history, a great place to stay...

We stayed here last weekend while down in Devon for our friends wedding. This is a pub with B&B accommodation, so don't expect the ritz, however what you will find is nice, clean, functional rooms, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The pub is full of character with a good range of drinks, and the breakfast was good. Plenty of...

This inn was under temporary management prior to sale later in the year. Food was reasonable but their was no room service, we were there four days, beds were never made, room was never cleaned, coffee/tea/milk not replenished at any time. Arrived at about 4 pm but front of house was locked, found our way through the kitchen at the...

Hi Chris, I'm so sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay with us, perhaps I can give you an explanation on the points you've mentioned. I'm afraid we don't provide room service and we don't advertise that we do. As a small B&B we only charge £32 per person per night including breakfast and unfortunately adding in...

We popped in to the pretty village of Modbury and had been recommended to the The Modbury Inn. We climbed a steep hill and it was on the right hand side at the top. Lovely good priced food, great choice on set menu and friendly locals.
