It is situated close to the centre of Dawlish with great off street parking, the owners are attentive and helpful to your needs which for us was finding somewhere for 10 of us to eat on a Friday night!! Breakfast is superb with plenty of choice and all hand cooked to order

We always have a great time in Dawlish and this place is a welcoming haven. Food is tasty, service is pleasant and the rooms are spacious. We choose this place again and again as it is close enough to the town, train station and seafront. Nicki is an excellent hostess and always able to assist with any special dietary needs.... More

Very enjoyable stay at Lyme Bay House. Nikki and John were excellent hosts and had a vast knowledge of the area. Breakfast was great with a great variety of starters before the popular English. After booking this hotel 3 months ahead, and having cycled 80 miles from Cornwall to get there, on our trip to John O'Groats, we were very disappointed to find that there was no one in to welcome us - in fact the door was locked, and we had to wait outside for half an hour. We rang the owner, who... More

Dear Julian, we are always very disappointed when we do not get things right and customers are not satisfied with their experience. Clearly, this was one of those occasions. On reflection, it was a combination of an earlier than expected arrival time and a daily “shopping trip” at the wrong time. Being very tired cyclists after an 80 mile journey... More
