Upmarket room, quite spacious and well furnished, with a good bathroom. Windows onto the main road through Dawlish, but it is not a very busy road at night. Room was a reasonable price for England (£40 per night). I enquired about breakfast but was told that it would cost £10 and that no-one ever took it. If you go to...

Upon arrival, I was slightly concerned, judging by the pub below. Don't be put off. The people were amazing and the accommodation was great. We came for a family wedding and booked 3 rooms. They were all nicely decorated, very clean and the bathrooms were great. The beds were really comfortable. The staff couldn't do enough for us. If I...

Started using this place early last year when Ralph was working there. had some great nights and met some really nice people. Visited again earlier this year. What a difference. Ralph had gone, to be replaced by a young bloke behind the bar. He made no conversation, sat on the stall behind the bar and could barely be bothered to...

Good, basic accommodation at a reasonable price. A warm welcome, spacious room (number 1) with decent enough shower, & an excellent breakfast. Exactly what we wanted. Don't be put off by the outside, main road appearance, it's a locals' pub with friendly regulars.

Used to walk past this place on my way to the train station to catch a train to school 40 years ago. Stayed 2 nights in early May, had travelled by train so brought my bicycle and they kindly let me put it in their cellar to make sure it was secure. Room was comfortable, lovely upgraded en suite with...

The noise was very bad at times, including people slamming doors at 2:00 am. Wifi was adequate although the router needed rebooting and was not accessible to room. Also the Connection was NOT secured so I was unable to do any internet banking while I was there. It's quite a climb up to the hotel with cases etc especially difficult...

Staying here on business for one night and I have to say what a lovely and welcoming place this is. Very nice pub and the people are even nicer. It's unfortunate they don't accommodate for food but that isn't an issue as there are hundreds of places within a 2 minute walk to eat. They even let me order an...
