I want this review to be honest, so the positives first. A very well presented and comfortable B&B and a very good breakfast, situated 10 to 15 mins walk from Exford which is a llovely village. (Cash only BTW) however the mannerism of the landlady was cold and not engaging, Personally I felt uncomfortable and would not recommend this B&B

The owner was very friendly and helpful, the cottage and garden look very cute and welcoming. Rooms small but cosy and comfy. Breakfast was ok, just one table though so you have to sit on a table with the other guests (or outside). The problem we had was that there's only one bathroom shared between all three guest rooms which...

On a positive note, our room was very clean, the view was lovely and we had a nice fresh fruit compote for breakfast. However: the room was very expensive given that it had no en suite, there was no wardrobe and no wash basin; we were given only two tea bags in our room for the two of us; the...

Beautiful English cottage bed and breakfast. The lady who runs it could not have been friendlier and more helpful. I spoke to her on the phone to book a few weeks before. There were 3 of us staying in a room. My fiancee and his brother were doing the ironman not far away. This means odd check in times and...

We hired the cottage (and most of the rooms in the B&B) for a family wedding in Exford. The cottage accommodates 6 - and is best suited to a family or close friends as the two singles are entered from the second double bedroom. There are two excellent on suite bathrooms. All facilities are excellent and the property is equipped...

Great place to stay in Exmoor. Quiet, homey, welcoming. The hostess was very friendly and thoughtful; she welcomed us with tea and let us borrow her walk guidebook. She also prepared a very tasty breakfast in the morning. The room was comfortable and clean, with a good shower. The location of the cottage was great - near Exford, where you...

After having pitched up late in the day a very warm welcome was received. Joan is a diamond, you feel at easy from the moment she greets you. The bedrooms are clean and very comfortable and the bathrooms spotlessly so. The bed is to die for warm white cotton and plenty of duvet. Then there is breakfast.

They don't come any better than this, we arrived, thoroughly soaked, muddy and tired following my participation in an off-road motorcycling event, frankly we were embarrassed to knock on the door. However Joan greeted us with warm hello, and from then on it jut got better! A pot of tea was sorted within a few moments while we unloaded the...
