We had a superb two night stay in Room No. 1 of Edgcott House at the beginning of July. The room itself was spacious, beautifully furnished and with everything you might need (including delicious cake). Simon and Penny were wonderful hosts, greeting us warmly as we arrived drenched from cycling 30 miles in the rain from Tiverton Parkway and immediately... More

We've stayed here twice in the last year having stumbled across this as a last minute idea, and you simply cannot fault any aspect of this business. Simon and Penny are absolutely fantastic as hosts, always making you feel welcome and doing everything that they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Their local knowledge is invaluable when... More

We hired the cottage (and most of the rooms in the B&B) for a family wedding in Exford. The cottage accommodates 6 - and is best suited to a family or close friends as the two singles are entered from the second double bedroom. There are two excellent on suite bathrooms. All facilities are excellent and the property is equipped... More

Very comfortable, very friendly owners. Rooms are comfortable and very quiet at night. Breakfast is wonderful - a different choice each day with something for everyone. Easy access for walks over Exmoor including Dunkery Beacon (highest point on Exmoor).

Our host and hostess were very welcoming and provide plenty of books, maps, and things to do. The room and bathroom are very clean and beautifully appointed. The bath towels are very good quality. We had a good selection of... More

Booked a room for two nights for myself, my sister and my small dog (last minute booking and managed to get the last room!) What can I say? EVERYTHING was perfect. The house has pretty, well maintained gardens and is in a quiet tucked away location (easy to find on satnav though). Inside it is welcoming and beautifully furnished. The... More

We spent just 2 nights in this beautiful B&B, and almost felt the tension ease from the minute we entered the house. We had a back double bedroom which was lovely and quiet. It had a good sized bathroom en-suite. Simon and Penny are such friendly hosts and made us feel so at home. We had the lounge to ourselves... More
