I wasn't expecting to be able to stay but a chance came up so I grabbed it. If anyone hasn't been to Hunters Inn, I can thoroughly recommend it. It's in the most idyllic valley with the River Heddon flowing by. The food was exceptionally good as was the room I had and the staff were all very friendly and...

Stopped for afternoon tea after a bracing cliff walk along the coast path. These were the best scones I have ever tasted, still warm and no bicarbonate taste left on the teeth. The clotted cream was deep yellow and so thick you needed a knife, the jam was firm too. Perfect.

We booked last minute with no expectations. I was travelling with my father who has limited mobility and many medical problems. I wanted to take him away for a short break. We arrived at this lovely woodland hotel and were greeted warmly. The accommodation was good and the staff could not have been more helpful. The situation is exceptional and...

We called for lunch whilst visiting the area. The Inn is down a narrow road in a lovely setting. All menu options for starter, main and desert were tempting, but I had the beef which was very good. We also managed to have deserts, the chocolate brownie was delicious and they even made custard for a fellow diner even though...

Just has a lovely weekend at this wonderful hotel. It is situation down in a valley called Heddons Valley right next to Heddons River. Plenty of amazing walks surrounding the hotel. Peacocks walking freely around the site. Food, staff and accommodation was all first class. Would definitely return.

Had a meal here to celebrate my mum's birthday with a large group of my family while we were spending a lovely long weekend in the area. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and were very impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. The bread and butter pudding was a particular favourite!!

Four of us enjoyed lunch here on Sunday 12th Feb '17. The menu is competitively priced and there is a good selection of meal choices available. We all opted for a roasts and found the food to be of a high standard and very well presented. Desserts and cheeseboard also proved to be of a high quality. The staff checked...

We went there for my brothers wedding. All staff were lovelly and helpfull. The menu was not large which gives me confidence in the chefs abilities, and rightly so. The food was gorgeous. Very high standard pub grub essentially. We will be going back when we are in the area. Well worth a visit.

After a beautiful walk through the Heddon Valley there is the perfect place to rest and be fed. Lovely building and friendly staff provide a delicious Sunday roast and Goan vegetable curry. Muddy boots and Muddy dogs allowed. Highly recommended
