We took advantage of a special offer at this Inn on Exmoor. It was extremely good value for money. Excellent food and extremely comfortable accomodation, with little extras such as cookies in a jar in the room. A jug of fresh milk in the refrigerator in the room and ground coffee for the cafetiere. Staff and service friendly and efficient.

We stayed in January for 3 nights with our dog. Hubby was on a shoot and I did some local walks along the river and over the hills. It was heavenly! It's the perfect place for exploring the Exmoor National Park. The landlady and staff are all very friendly and helpful. The room was cosy, comfortable and nicely decorated. Piping...

After reading reviews decided to go & find this fabulous pub in the heart of Exmoor, truly fantastic location. We had the burgers, which were gorgeous, but the other options looked pretty good as well. Would like to try the evening menu at some point in the future! Staff were very friendly so I can only highly recommend this pub!!

A little difficult to find - first, because most of the roads are single track and across Exmoor, but also because the inn is down just such a track which says 'no through road to cars'. Sorry to start with a niggle, but it would be really helpful if there was a simple sign in addition which says 'Tarr Farm...

Went here for a family lunch whilst away. Food was lovely. Staff ok. The surrounding area is stunning. Well worth a visit. Car park is small but there is another which is a little bit of a walk, but as the scenery is so nice it's well worth it.

We stayed here whilst walking the 2 Moors way and overall it was excellent. The food didn't quite live up to expectation however but was still good. The rooms were very cosy although I didn't need the gun cabinet ! Very friendly manager, warm and cosy pub and an excellent rest

Nothing to dislike. Lovely place, quick, friendly service, good food (only had a sandwich but very nice). Dog was welcome and locals friendly. Got busy quickly so would recommend going early. Excellent place for walking.

We discovered that Tarr Farm Inn were having a Seafood Night in January, so decided to go and try it. EXmoor had more than a dusting of snow but it showed off the scenery in style. Our room certainly had a view and the staff were more than helpful, Hilary runs it well. NOw to the seafood, WOW, it was...

The views from the garden are breath taking and the food is fantastic. The waiter was very kind and friendly. We had lunch here and found it hard to leave. The interior of the pub is very quaint and well presented and very clean.

Three very nice real ales Not the easiest place to find but as it’s right next to Tarr Steps it’s got to be worth finding Friendly, cosy and comfortable pub with a lovely restaurant and a comfy lounge Polite and attentive staff Very small car park opposite the pub but more parking available further down by Tarr steps themselves.
