Stayed at the Ashbury Hotel and played golf everyday. All the courses were excellently maintained and challenging with each course offering different challenges. Views were fabulous also. Hotel covered all our basic needs and the restaurant food was plenty and of a very good quality.

Visited the Ashbury Golf Hotel in Okehampton with lots of Golf with excellent views over Dartmoor. The Golf Courses are in excellent condition and can always get a space if you haven't booked tee times. I would advise you book your golf before you arrive so you don't miss out. Willows Par 3 course you dont need a buggy but...

Really good value with full board and all activities included. We did not find booking activities too much of a problem but it is important to make them as early as possible (especially at the Manor House site). Buffet style meals have a good variety of options but seem to repeat each 4 days. Mostly foreign staff attentive. The site...

10th year on the trot, unfortunatly my brother who booked it had to drop out for family reasons, considering the circumstances Ashbury weren't very accommodating. Having said that the courses were playing well ( high praise to the hard working ground staff, without them this place would just be a leasure Center). Accommodation was clean, tidy and comfy, we were in...

Travelled with another couple in March 2017, both men keen golfers. Pluses, good prices, nice food, beautiful spa area and pool, good craft lessons available, lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Minuses a sea of cream artex everywhere, vile green swirly carpets, 80s style tongue and groove to walls, very dark and dated, not attractive at all. You are meant to self...

Yes it is dated but I would think that people come here for the sport and craft facilities which are good ( see caveat re golf courses ). The staff are also plentiful and helpful and the buffet food is of a good quality. However, if I had known how very steep and sloping most of the fairways were I...

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested heavily in our sport and craft facilities so it is lovely to hear that our guests are making the most of everything we have to offer. Your comments with regards to the fairways on the golf courses have been noted but we do advertise them as being set in '600 acres of...

Having been back to The Ashbury for the first time in 5 years I was impressed with the new additions. The hydro spa is sensational and a must do! The golf courses were all excellent and considering the time of year (Feb) were playing very nicely indeed. Food and drink again was great and reasonably priced. The only downside however...

This hotel is part of a pair with another less than 10 minutes drive away which is ideal as a retreat with friends during quiet parts of the year. Including the meals and facilities, it is remarkably good value for money. The rooms are worn, but you are not here to relax in your bedroom. Swimming, archery, shooting, pool &...
