The hotel is beautiful but unfortunately their afternoon tea was very disappointing. The bread was dry, almost stale, the cakes were very very basic and not very inspirational at all. A meringue which was dry, a banana bread and an odd custard tart. Just not what you expect from a hotel like this. Having visited other hotels in the chain...

I run a B&B myself, so I notice attention to detail. This little hotel got everything right. Immaculate presentation, beautifully decorated and furnished, clean and warm. We had the best welcome, and our dog was not just 'allowed' she was treated like a guest in her own right. Wonderful breakfasts and fine dining dinners. We felt very at home here and...

We booked 3 nights DB&B from the offer in the Telegraph. On arrival we were upgraded to a Master Suite - it was brilliant. It has everything you need - fruit; water; bath robes; slippers; and a shower room & a bathroom; and 2 separate rooms. Excellent food and the staff are all friendly and helpful. Even the dog got...

A very welcoming Hotel in a fairly remote country setting, we were lucky to have the suite which had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The food was excellent ,it was presented nicely in a fairly formal but pretty dining room which was also used for breakfast which was equally as good with plenty of choice. The staff at...

I needed to stay overnight in the South Hams area. Having stayed at Buckland Tout-Saints Hotel a few times about 25 years ago, and liked it, I thought I'd try it again. I was not disappointed. It's in a great rural location but easy to find with sat-nav and/or the brown road signs. Welcoming and helpful staff, nice room, great...

The hotel nestles in 4 acres of grounds just north of Kingsbridge in the South Hams. Access is via VERY narrow roads, but they're typical of the area. The message here is "slow down and enjoy life". If not, you'll find yourself endless backing up to a parking/passing place every now and again. Its a small hotel, a listed building...

We were staying at the hotel for a friend's wedding. On arrival at check-in nobody offered to carry our bags (we were on the top floor) or show us to our room (paying £145 a night you would think would include this small service). Once in our room we opened the shutters to discover a window sill full of dead...

This small but beautiful hotel nestles into stunning Devon countryside about a mile from Kingsbridge, which is well worth a visit. The hotel has two dining rooms - both charming - and the food is wonderful. Our room was on the top floor - not huge but spotlessly clean, freshly painted and so quiet! - and had a view across...

Where to being. It started off well. The receptionist was excellent. I was stuck in Kingsbridge with no sign of a cab. I called the hotel and explained my dilemma. The receptionist very kindly offered to find a cab for me. The hotel room was nothing special and was located on the top floor, appeared to be servants' quarters at...
