This was a 2nd stay at this fab hotel but a few standards have dropped since our last visit, which were mainly with the waiting service. Check in was smooth and the reception staff are very polite and helpful. When entering our room which was very well equipped except for the huge tear with threads hanging right down the side...

We arrived at around 6.30pm on Valentine's evening after a grueling drive down from London in the storms. We spent a lovely three days at Buckland Tout-Saints over the New Year break and found the hotel charming and the staff among the most friendly and helpful we have ever encountered. Buried deep in the Devon lanes but within easy reach of local attractions it is now at the top of our 'to go again' list. We had a...

Our second stay at this hotel and once again it ticked every box. Excellent menu, log fires, lovely bedroom, afternoon tea and helpful staff. Our party had two rooms and everyone enjoyed a relaxing time recharging our batteries after a hectic xmas period. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely hotel with wood panelled communal rooms. Spacious bedrooms, very well appointed, warm (in December). Great breakfast. They were very happy to have our black Labrador stay with us. Narrow lanes to get to it and not much close by (Kingsbridge 3 miles away), but good coastal walking near Salcombe. This is our third visit...
