Delicious food, great ambience, excellent service. Will definitely do this again. A welcoming family hotel in beautiful Devon with dedicated, enthusiastic hosts who really put themselves out for their guests to make your stay the best possible + friendly locals. Highly recommended.

Booked this lovely Hotel on a two night mini-break, and I am so glad we did. We enjoyed every moment. The staff were friendly, helpful and obviously enjoy their work. Tastefully decorated spacious rooms that were spotlessly clean with breakfast and evening meals which were both delicious and reasonably priced. Other guests we spoke to obviously felt the same. I...

We went on a two night package that included a tasting menu on the first night. Our room (Thatcher Room) was clean but oddly shaped and only had a double bed which is quite unusual these days as usually it is a king or even super-king. This small hotel has much to recommend it, the décor and furnishings are well conceived, the room we had was spacious, comfortable and adequately equipped and the food was original, well presented and of excellent quality. We were there over a weekend and its popularity with local people proved its quality and value - there were no tables left in...

A rather quirky hotel but charming interior.Warm greeting and attentive and friendly staff member as we were on a Groupon deal which we soon realised was fantastic vale, with good range of sandwiches, small warm savoury tasters and cakes, warm scones with beautiful jam and clotted cream, all in all a great experience.

Had afternoon tea here today with my mum and it was lovely. Excellent value for money, superb sandwiches and pastries and endless pots of tea!! Staff were great too. This is a gem of a place and we will definitely be back to sample the Sunday roasts with a possible overnight stay 😃

We were down for the day visiting my Sister who has been unwell and it was her recommendation that we all go to this lovely hotel for lunch. Mrs Baritone and I are currently (Lenton) vegetarians and were sceptical about what lunch would be like but we shouldn't have worried. The Guy behind the bar (he might be the owner...
