We stayed here for 2 nights and found the whole experience excellent. We ate at The Ness one evening and had breakfast there twice, the staff were polite and efficient and food was superb. Our room was clean and had a lovely view over the bay to Teignmouth. Parking on site is limited but there is a large pay and...

Stayed here a couple of times in the spring and winter. On both occasions in room 2 a fabulous room with great sea views and a fantastic copper bath very very relaxing. The bar/restaurant has a wonderful country house feel. Food here is pretty standard though nothing bad but nothing outstanding. Breakfast is fine and substantial with some nice touches....

Very nice place to be, very comfortable and nice tables with great view and comfortable chairs by fire, very nice staff. Food orders muddled up a bit but put right. Only downside is the standard Hall and Woodhouse menu, same in all their pubs everywhere and a bit limited, used to have a wider and more interesting choice. Really enjoyed...

Went for a few celebratory diners and it is worth every penny. Stunning views - ask for a table with a view! great service, tasty wine and food! Highly recommended! Steak pie is to die for and so is their Sunday roast :)

What a super place this is!! We stayed overnight and had a lovely spacious room with partial views over the estuary. It was to the side of the main pub and very quiet and peaceful and beautifully furnished. I believe the other rooms are of a similar standard as they have all recently been refurbished so I would not hesitate...

A cold night but clear so the views across to the Teignmouth shoreline superb If you want the view ask for the conservatory ( best to book) but the boat room is superb since the seating is boats on their stern which all adds to the magic. Menu varied but the beef and ale pie and fish and chips recommended....

My wife and I decided to come here for lunch, after saying we would visit for a long time and always forgetting! Weather was awful, and yet it didn't matter once we stepped inside. Great atmosphere and open fire, we were seated near a window, and despite the weather we had a great view across to Teignmouth. The waiter was...

We stayed for one night, I wish it had been for longer. Shaldon is lovely to walk around especially if you have dogs. The Ness Hotel is really nice, the staff are so friendly, you could stay on your own and not be lonely. The room was amazing, we always book a dog friendly room and usually they are shabby...
