We were looking for somewhere to have lunch half way between Tiverton and Bideford, and thought South Molton might be a good idea. We were very disappointed. On arrival we were directed to the back room - which was little short of a transport cafe. The tables had no covering, with plastic flower arrangements. The crockery basic and cups and...

From the moment we walked through the door to the bar we felt welcome. My husband had a very early start the next morning, so wouldn't be around for breakfast. Immediately, Jane (a wonderful lady) offered to have sandwiches made up for him so that he didn't go hungry! The room was gorgeous, warm, comfortable with plenty of space. We...

Had a lovely lunch with our 2 year old! The food was great and as the pub was quiet I was able to play pool with our little boy! Also the lady behind bar brought over a box of toys for him which was a lovely touch! Both meals were a good size and tasty! There was also lots of...

Not much is open early Sunday evening in South Moulton, this was. It's a large pub and popular with locals and tourists staying locally. When we arrived it was just before they started serving food (18:00) so we had a pint, nice range of beers on tap. Just before we went up and ordered all hell seemed to break loose...

We have our caravan stored at a near by caravan park & camp site & were bored with the usual & mundane food that they served there. We found The Coaching inn & were so impressed with the food, we have been there on a number of occasions now & love it there. So helpful & friendly A+

The Coaching Inn has a proper pub with character and a great atmosphere. The food is outstanding and comprises of good quality ingredients expertly prepared and in satisfying portions. My room was well equipped, well heated (I stayed in January) with a smart bathroom and plenty of heat and pressure in the shower.

Fantastic venue for bikers, helpful beyond the call of duty and I wouldn't even bother to look elsewhere. Endlessly patient with disorganised bikers, great welcoming atmosphere and great food. See you again soon!

Have spent many evenings in the Coaching Inn. Jane and her staff are always friends and accommodating. It's a pity SMGourmet of South Molton could not identify himself and spoken to Jane about it. I am sure she would have sorted it out. Sounds a bit like sour grapes for this comment to be made.
