We stayed for two nights at The George and had a great time. The staff were superb and very welcoming. The beds are so comfortable and spacious and also the interior of the the bedroom is very tasteful. They do a good breakfast in the morning and location is right in the centre. I can highly recommend to stay there for a relaxing weekend away. Oh and I shall not forget to mention the amazing cake selection in the afternoon - that carrot cake is very yummy!

We had a wonderful 5* experience at the George .It started with a friendly ,efficient check in , and immediately we were directed to the free Hotel car parking. . The George is stylish and immaculately clean - everywhere 👏 .Our bedroom was beautifully decorated, toasty warm on a very cold day, with a really comfy big bed. Breakfast was well presented and very good , husband said bacon and sausages were very tasty. Would not hesitate in recommending this excellent Hotel in the interesting market town of South Molton, close to Exmoor.

A very warm welcome from Mark on arrival, gorgeous bedroom and hotel in general, meant we had a lovely comfortable weekend away in this pretty part of Devon. The staff at breakfast were very efficient and friendly too and the food was excellent - well cooked and presented local ingredients. The hotel looks as though it has had a thorough refurbishment and is now tastefully decorated. The bedroom was spacious and luxurious, and very clean. Although we were at the front of the hotel, it wasn't noisy and we slept well. South Molton is a busy market town, worth a walk round and Mark recommended a couple of places to eat in the evening. The George itself is ideally located to visit the surrounding area - we went to the RHS gardens at Rosemoor, Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Appledore but there is so much more to see and this is one hotel we would definitely come back to.

We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious homemade cakes served in relaxed cafe. The hotel was an ideal setting for exploring the stunning North Devon countryside and amazing coastline. Couldn't believe how good the prices were for such
