We stayed for one night, celebrating a friends birthday. Check in was swift and staff were very friendly. Our party was quite large - about 30 of us and we arrived pretty much en-masse, which they managed very well. We paid for a sea view - which lived up to expectations, very spacious, ample tea and coffee and nice variety...

We often stay at The Woolacombe Bay hotel, its a perfect location for a Woolacombe visit. The hotel staff are very friendly, and always happy to help. The hotel itself is clean and well looked after, with a traditional and modern twist to its decor. I would certainly recommend the Woolacombe Bay

Great staff - very attentive and professional. The suites are amazing! Dinner was lovely and so was breakfast. The hotel was quiet but this was fine for us as just wanted a relaxing time. I can imagine this is a brilliant place to come in the summer and I will definitely be back!

A little treasure situated right in the heart of Woolacombe. We had a sea view room and I was absolutely delighted that it had radiators (not aircon) so we could open the windows during the night and hear the sound of the waves - precisely the reason why we wanted a sea view. The staff were very helpful and friendly....

Great hotel. No complaints at all. Try it for yourself, you'll love it too. Good staff, good food, good atmosphere. We ate in the Bistro and the restaurant and both were good meals, not too expensive and served by really friendly staff. It's right on the sea front, too. What's not to like? Thanks to the staff for organising a...

A very good hotel to stay. Staff very friendly and helpful nothing is to much trouble for them. They have two restaurants, both serve up wonderful food, one in a more formal setting the other a more informal setting. The service in both was superb and that goes for the bar as well. Quite expensive to stay there but overall...

Having stayed here with our children a few years ago we returned as a couple of oldies. It's still the same fabulous place to stay. We had a great room with sea views and a balcony, a comfortable bed and a lovely modern bathroom. It's clean and welcoming. The staff are lovely and the breakfast are tasty and the food...

I stayed here for 5 nights with my 2 children and we had such a lovely time. I had booked a suite and we were lucky enough to be allocated The Retreat, which was stunning. With its own private staircase, you walked into a large hallway and from that there was a huge bathroom, with roll top bath and walk-in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Much of the Hotel has been lovingly restored from the mid 1800's, creating it's unique and tranquil atmosphere. High ceilings, chandeliers and comfortable, quiet lounges are a testament to that era, and where first class modern amenities are required, they have been skilfully incorporated into the existing Woolacombe accommodation. We place high value on our staff. Trained to be attentive yet unobtrusive and to provide the kind of personal service that is so often hard to find. ... more   less
