We have stayed here a couple of times, very friendly staff and landlady always good value for money, clean and tidy rooms, always lots going on in Bridport. Easy parking around the back of the pub. Would come back.

We had a really comfy sleep in lovely sized room for 4 & big bathroom was fab. Clean & well presented. The carpark around the corner is convenient & cheap. Its in the centre of beautiful & friendly Bridport. Really yummy roast dinner and it was hot!! The staff were really friendly, Camille, Gwen, Chris. Would definitely stay again.

My mother and father frequent this pub often of a lunch time and recommended it so I went with my mum on a Monday evening no signs outside to say when food is served we went in and the locals I assume all looked at us as if we had two heads and when we finally waited to speak to...

We visited the Lord Nelson on a cold day in need of some good wholesome hot food to warm us up. We each opted for something different from the special of the day - fried liver to the homemade cottage pie and the roast dinner. Every one of our meals was hot and delicious, just how you hope every meal...

An old hotel that to be frank had a funny smell about it. The bedroom was clean but there was no soap in the ensuite the shower did not work even after 3 days (yes I did tell the owner). The rubbish bin was not emptied in the 3 days we were there. The staff were very friendly and helpful....

This is a friendly local pub serving fairly basic but inexpensive pub food. Portions were large but prices were modest. A Palmer's pub serving the local Palmer's Real ales. There is a garden at the rear where dogs are welcome. There are a lot of places to eat in Bridport for all budgets. This is good value for fairly basic...

Myself and my family stopped here for something to eat last September. They had quite a different menu with kangaroo crocodile and all sorts of different things aswell and the normal foods. The pub is very dated but the food was very good. The downside was the drink prices very expensive.

My family booked three rooms here for a couple of nights. It certainly isn't trendy but it was clean, the rooms were large, and the beds were comfortable. Five of us paid £155 per night including breakfast between us, which was very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. The landlord and the barmaid were very friendly and did...

We were looking for a meal without chips. (Too many trips to the chip shop). Found this one lunch time and they had lasagne with side salad and garlic bread for £4.95. The food was home made and excellent, the service prompt and delivered by a very polite and friendly waitress. There is a lovely court yard out the back...

I wish I didn't have to say more, but I Do. Geoff (or whatever his name was) was incredibly inhospitable. he wouldn't let an ectra person stay in the room even tho9ugh we had money. It was 2 in the morning, said he was full. What a turkey. We ended up staying in a McDonalds in dorchester. It come to...
