We spent three nights at the White house in mid-September. We were primarily in the area for walking and decided that Charmouth would be a good base without the crowds of nearby Lyme Regis. The reservation process via e-mail and confirmation via telephone went well. The hotel is located on the main street in Charmouth which was a pleasant small town...

We had pre-booked Friday and Saturday nights and dinner on the Friday. Arrived about 6ish and warmly welcomed by Liz who showed us to our rooms which were spacious, clean and comfortable. We had pre-dinner drinks in the lounge - served by the lovely Hannah - and then dinner in the cosy restaurant. The food was exceptional - beautifully presented...

Had a very relaxing stay at the White House with my daughter. It has the elegant charm of a country house hotel but smaller and more intimate. Lovely touches, such as a fridge for guests supplying fresh jugs of milk for tea. Amazing bathroom with large tub, robes for guest use and a heavenly bed. All deeply relaxing after a...

We had a lovely overnight stay. The family room suite was an excellent arrangement for us giving parents & child a level of independence. Clean room, hospitable hosts, excellent breakfast, good large beds. Just a short walk from Charmouth beach and the coastal paths. Heed the warnings for parking your car behind the hotel. We hoped for a good stay...

Charmouth has long been a favourite of my wife and I and was the chosen base for three night stay to celebrate a major family occasion. The White House is a small hotel of just four good size bedrooms which proved to be an excellent place to stay and we were delighted with our choice as were the rest of...

Thank you for such a fab review, we are delighted you and your family enjoyed your short stay with us, we always think our place lends itself so well to family groups. As you mentioned we offer B&B only during August but the restaurant is back open in September, Tuesdays to Saturdays so if you are coming this way again...

Overnighting in Charmouth we were pleased to stay at the White House. A warm welcome from Ian and we were shown to our lovely room. The only dud being the shower which was very small. At breakfast there were five children under the age of four one of whom was poorly behaved, not the hotel's fault but beware if you...

Thank you for your feedback, we are pleased you enjoyed most aspects of your stay. We are sorry you found the walk in shower cubicle in Room Two to be 'very small' however I think it worth mentioning that there is also a large bath in that bathroom as well. We do have other rooms with large walk in showers...

WE thoroughly enjoyed our four day stay at The White House. Everything I would say has been said by Grace099 so no need to repeat, but will echo it tenfold.(I also confess that it crossed my mind to keep this to myself, but that would be unfair) The owners have great sense of what it takes to offer and run...

High praise indeed, thank you very much. Unfortunately the coast paths either side of Charmouth beach do have short diversions as the cliffs crumble away but on the positive side they are constantly replenishing the beach with fossils! Catch the tides right though and its a great walk to Lyme or to Seatown/St Gabriel Steps along the beach - but...
