We stayed in this comfortable B&B for 3 nights in double room no. 1. Hosts Dawn and Jim were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, particularly for beginner fossil hunters. A short walk along the beach in either direction leads you prime fossil hunting areas. Breakfast was plentiful, freshly cooked and included an option for delicious kippers. The room was very...

Stayed 2 nights last week and booked the apartment with two bedrooms, 2 doubles and a single. Rooms immaculate, beds very comfortable, friendly staff and very high standard of breakfasts. Boiled eggs were perfectly cooked, kippers were reported to be delicious but if you have a big appetite, have the full english, it's amazing!!! Don't hesitate, book it!

We stayed for two nights in Rm 4. This room had pleasant views to the hills in the east. It was "cosy" as described elsewhere. But the quality of sleep is superb! A really good base for the beach and the village centre. Nice to have tea and coffee making facilities and extra milk is cheerfully dispensed via a flask...

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. To clarify for anyone reading this, 'Room 4' is the room that appears on all the booking sites as our 'Small Double', and is priced lower than our other rooms. For a full choice of all our rooms, including the two bedroom family suites, do book direct as not all...

Hensleigh House proved to be the perfect break for us.. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable (I wanted to take the bed home!) There was excellent choice at breakfast and all the food was cooked/prepared to our taste. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and extremely professional. Sadly, on the night before leaving, I lost a treasured necklace...

It's great to hear that you enjoyed your stay, and that the issue that may have spoiled it was resolved by the amazing honesty and kindness of the good people of Lyme Regis. It is sometimes the little things that make all the difference! We do hope that you will come back and see us again during 2017. Kind Regards...

Having stayed in many B&B's, this is one is up there with the best. Very clean, comfortable, friendly, welcoming and a great breakfast. Nothing is too much trouble for Jim and Dawn. A perfect location for fossil hunting ( a big thank you for your help) and we were lucky enough to enjoy the switching on of Lyme Regis Christmas...

We were looking for a bed and breakfast to stay in close to the Jurassic Coast and came across Hensleigh House which had an organised fossil weekend. The proprietors Jim and Dawn had put together a fantastic weekend. The rooms were spacious and immaculate as was the bathroom which was clean and new with toiletries. There was a hairdryer in...

We had visited Hensleigh House on a previous exploration of the Jurassic Coast, but this was their first fully organised Fossil Weekend. The proprietors Jim & Dawn had put together an excellent package aimed at families and enthusiasts. A weekend of Fossil hunting walks and lectures using the talents of The Charmouth Heritage Centre and staff from Lyme Regis Museum....

Warm welcome on arrival and shown to our room where TV etc. explained. Very clean and tidy with everything you need for a stay. First class breakfast promptly served with a smile and chat. Great stay and we would certainly stay again if in the area and recommend to friends and family. Ample parking.

The B&B has a good location in the centre of the village and a few steps from the beach. Adequate parking. Friendly staff. A very clean establishment serving an excellent breakfast. However, the twin room was a bit small and rather overpriced at £120 a night compared to other establishments including hotels. Charmouth handy for visiting Lyme Regis and Sidmouth.
