This hotel takes one back to how things used (and ought) to be; comfortable, stylish and welcoming without gimmicks or corporate nonsense. The food was delicious and service professional and efficient. The restaurant was full on both nights which is testimony to it's popularity. It is in a beautiful peaceful setting with plenty to do in the area. We would... More

I haven't been for a while, but I will write this review regardless of the fantastic time me and my family had at the Plumber Manor. The food is a delight as per usual. I believe it is run by some brothers, who give fantastic customer service. It has a vibrant and lovely setting about the outside and inside of... More

3 of 5 stars Pending review We haven't been here for a while but found the venue to be resting on its laurels a little as a dining experience and the ambience lacking its former warmth and vitality for what used to be an enjoyable and relaxing evening out. Furnishings seemed tired and dusty and in much need of a... More

My Husband and I stayed the night before meeting family for 3 nights at a B&B in the next village. We love the laid back elegance of the place and the food was just wonderful. Beautifully cooked, presented and served. Richard is an absolute poppet. He looked after us so well that i wanted to take him home with me.... More

We have stayed at Plumber Manor many times and have always thoroughly enjoyed our visit - this weekend was no exception - fabulous food and wine - the staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble - the rooms are a little dated and could do with an overhaul but what the heck. My favourite hotel in the UK.

Sunday lunch with friends. £30 per person and absolutely unbeatable for taste, customer service and value for money. I recommend the wild mushrooms in filo pastry for the starter and chicken in a very tasty sauce with a variety of veg and the most gorgeous crunchy roast potatoes! We all had different puds, all yummy! Superb staff. We felt very... More

This manor offers very poor value for money. The pictures all look very nice and charming but the reality is very different. The place needs a complete refurbishment; the rooms are outdated (not just old fashioned charming): the bathrooms are old, dark and ugly, and the rooms (certainly the one we stayed in the adjacent converted stables) are very dark.... A little peeling plaster here and there. The window frames rusting, and a new Labrador puppy...... It was lovely to see that our one of our favourite places to stay in the UK has not changed and that the charm and atmospere that Plumber generates is intact. That said, we were impressed with the updated bathroom and with the TV... More
