Myself and my wife stayed here whilst visiting for a family wedding. Ivy Cottage is situated in a beautiful part of the Northern Irish countryside with easy access by car to the coast, mountains of Mourne and Belfast itself. Ivy Cottage is a lovely place, well appointed with lovely decoration. A very comfortable bed with neighbouring shower room. We had...

I stayed here twice this year while completing a diving course in the near by Strangford Lough. The house is so increadably homely that it instantly made me feel relaxed. The vegetarian cooked breakfast is the best I have ever had and set me up for most of the day. The bed was super soft and it is in a...

I don’t normally take the time to write reviews, however we had such a great stay at the Ivy Cottage that I had to! We were staying there for a wedding in June and the whole weekend was fantastic, and staying here had a huge part to play in that. The surroundings were beautiful and the setting of the B&B...

The Ivy Cottage is a quaint little hideaway nestled in the county Down countryside. Finding it on the internet was easy, getting to it by road and googlemaps not so. It is a little hard to find and a car or transport is necessary but if you want quaint and quiet then find it you must. The exterior lives up...

We had just two nights at Ivy Cottage, and were delighted with the comfortable rooms and the friendly service from Ronnie and Phyl. The location proved a good base from which to explore Northern Ireland by car, being not too far from Belfast, the east coast, the Mournes or further inland. We also did not have any anxieties about the...

The Ivy Cottage is gorgeous, the breakfast is first class and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. We chose this hotel as it is very close to the wedding venue Larchfield Estate. The room itself was stylish with a boutique feel and came with extras (i.e. good quality hair dryer, iron, etc..). We stayed in the charming downstairs bedroom...

Nestling in the heart of the beautiful Co Down countryside, Ivy Cottage is an absolute delight. Our room was really so pretty and spacious. Phyl and Ronnie were lovely hosts and the breakfasts were spot on. And we know a real Ulster fry when we see one - mouth watering. If we ever have another wedding to attend in the...

We had the downstairs room with bathroom next door. Very beautifull house but small room. Hostess very friendly & breakfast OK! We stayed for 3 nights but never was the bed made or the litter bin emptied ! All things considered : nice place & unbelievable hosts !

Charming, extraodinary gardens, fabulous hosts! Our geneology research took us to Ballynahinch; great town. Neighborhood pheasants could be seen out our windows of B&B. Phyl and Ronnie went out of their way to host us, all hours of the day! You would love this splendid cottage.I know we did. kathy r.
