We spent 2 nights at The Royal and we were delighted with our accommodation and the village itself. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the Scottish breakfast was beautiful- more than we could eat!

Family run hotel. Very laid back. I think all places in Anster dog friendly apart from restaurants. Phone them to check I would bet it wouldn't be a problem. Rooms quite small so would only be suitable to take a small dog.
