Easy to find, great location and friendly staff. Rooms clean and fresh with good choice of te, coffee and biscuits plus bottled water in the room. Room and breakfast was great for the price paid, would defo use again for another stay.

Fantastic meal in the Royal Hotel, Anstruther I had the homemade steak and ale pie which was delicious, my wife had the haddock in batter which I could have eaten as well, it looked so good. The batter was light and crispy and the fish had beautiful white flesh, thoroughly recommend the Royal for a meal.

We had 2 nights in the Royal hotel over the weekend for a friend's wedding locally in Anstruther, great location in the village and very easy to walk everywhere. Our room was spacious, clean and well decorated. The (included) breakfasts were delicious and cooked very fresh. All of the staff were extremely friendly, as were the locals, and all of...

Room was very small..bedding was well below standard as was the furnishings..couldn't control the heating and the shower had no warm water and very little pressure..was a very unpleasant experience..paid £70..not worth a penny of it...Never again!

At short notice we, and two friends, decided to go to Anstruther for an overnight stay on a Saturday night and the Royal Hotel had been highly recommended. We weren't disappointed. We had dinner which all four of us thought was excellent. The fish was huge and the batter very light. One of the party needed gluten free and was...

Recently stayed at The Royal and were warmly greeted by staff. Our room was very comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. The Hotel and rooms have recently been refurbished to a high standard without spoiling some of the original features ( the building is over 300 years old listed). The staff were lovely and helpful and recommended places to...

Ate here last night and the food was excellent. Highly recommend the Cullen Skink. My husband had the prawn and crayfish cocktail which he really enjoyed. We both had the daube of beef bourginone which was beautifully tender and tasty. Huge portion of rhubarb crumble and ice cream which we shared. Excellent value for money and lovely staff!
