The property has two rooms but I believe that only one is ever let out now that Bunty and her husband are getting on. That means that the separate bathroom is in fact a private one, as is in practice the guest lounge / breakfast room. For a small establishment, not only is it impeccably clean and comfortable but Bunty caters for just about anything one might need - from bedroom tray to superbly equipped bathroom to breakfast choice (within reason, but more than one is entitled to expect) to tourist brochures, books and advice. And all just literally a few minutes walk from the excellent local fisheries museum, departures to the superb bird sanctuary of the Isle of May and, of course, the Anstruther harbour front. Many other attractions also nearby. The only downside is that I'm not sure how long they will continue to operate any B&B facility.

Delicious home made jams. Highly recommended. Good location in a quiet residential street only a short walk from harbour, shops and restaurants. Only 2 bedrooms, so may often be the only guests as we were! Shared bathroom, lounge/dining room, sunny patio.

Bunty welcomed us and made us feel and at home in one minute. The accomodation is clean, warm and homely with a good choice for breakfast. The location is quiet and a few minutes walk from the harbour and restaurants. Wouldn't hesitate to return to this B&B in a beautiful village.

Cute room, very nice person and the best Scottish breakfast we have had while our travel – definitely try! Shared bathroom was fine since we were alone. Bunty made us feel very welcome and she had self-made marmalade which was the best we've ever eaten!

We had a great time at the Sheiling, the host lady is wonderful, full of good tips about activities and locations in the area. Her breakfast is fantastic and the rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. Do the coastal walk from Anstruther to Crail if the weather allows it - its wonderful :)
