Detailed Reviews
My wife and I have stayed at Gorno Grove 5 times now in the last year.
Our large double bed room could not possibly be better for our needs and the location is absolutely perfect for visiting our very busy daughter caring for her horses, dogs, cats, pigs, sheep, goats, turkeys, ducks and chickens at Glentarkie.
The Strathmiglo area is well worth the visit with many places to see within easy reach of Gorno Grove Guest House.
Dianne Matthew is a lovely considerate host who knows how to cater for most tastes.
Well worth a visit when touring the Perth to St. Andrews area.

Gorno Grove House is a lovely B&B, set amongst beautifully landscaped, extensive grounds, perfect for a relaxed stroll, with many ideal spots for quiet reading or reflection, including the pond. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, as was the en suite bathroom. Our balcony overlooked the grounds, facing the Lomond Hills, which are not far and are popular amongst walkers. The location is ideal, set back off a main road, making it easy to get places, but still quiet. It is out in the country, so you do have to drive to find a restaurant for dinner, but, best of all, it is only about a 20 minute drive to Cupar, where we ate dinner in Ostler's Close, the best restaurant ever.

My wife and I travelled to Falkland for an outside production of Macbeth and had the absolute pleasure of staying overnight at Diane Matthews beautiful home. The accommodation was superb. Spotlessly clean and a really comfortable bed with best Egyptian cotton sheets. The breakfast was top class. Freshly cut fruit salad followed by a sumptuous omelet. Diane was a wonderful hostess and made us feel extremely welcome even providing us with wet weather gear as we ventured out in pouring rain to see the Scottish play. The highlight however was the early morning stroll through Diane's beautifully landscaped gardens. I could not recommend this b&b too highly. Sandy & Maureen Telfer

excellent run top quality b&b - clean and very comfortable room almost too clean and well cared for as a bit reluctant to mess it up - shame they are not all to this standard - considerate helpful hosts and a very quite country location with in 40 mins drive for st andrews golf courses and or back to edinburgh - highly recommended and would not hesitate to stay there again - easily the best place we stayed in during june on our recent month long trip to UK, Scotland and France - also the small village of strathmiglo within comfotable walking distance has a pub and a small corner co op shop for essentialls etc

Working at a local event and staying at Gorno Grove. After days of being wet and muddy the homely atmosphere of Gorno Grove, with comfy beds and excellent shower is a much needed respite. Excellent hosts looking after me as if I was at home, lovely breakfast, a place to dry my jacket and boots, they went beyond the call of duty and even accepted packages from a courier for me. I would recommend this place to anyone. Shame I did not have time to enjoy Scotland, this would be a great location to visit on holiday.

We visit Scotland often (11 times in 13 years), because we love this country. We quite often attend the Rotary Club of St. Andrews Annual Golf Tournament. We have stayed in some wonderful B&B's , in St. Andrews, Ayr, Montrose, Aberdeen, Skye, and others. Gorno Grove is clearly the best B&B we've ever stayed at. It's a little more expensive, but if you want a wonderful stay within a short drive to St. Andrews, this is simply outtanding. It's a beautiful house, and the extensive grounds are just remarkable.... like strolling through a beautiful park.
The Marrhews - Sandy & Diane- are extremely cordial, and you'll most surely feel you've discovered a 'hidden gem'.

Staying with Sandy and Dianne Matthew at their beautiful residence was an incredible treat. With world class views of the Scottish countryside and details such as fresh flowers in the bedroom and ensuite bathroom, I can't recommend this establishment enough. The Gardens are a wonder to behold and I am not in the least horticultral!
The real difference is in the amicabilty of the Canadian and Scottish hosts and nothing was too much trouble. I am inclined to arrange another visit to Scotland, just to say here again.
