The Bruce Inn sits opposite Falkland Palace and is a reminder of what hospitality is all about.
A warm welcome regardless who greets you on arrival and well appointed, clean rooms with fantastic views from any window.
Good selection of food in the restaurant and a beer garden (with heater) where the locals greet you as a local.
Good base for short or long walks and a selection of quaint shops including a fantastic deli selling local produce.
Once you’ve stayed at The Bruce or even visited the lovely village, I guarantee you’ll look forward to going back.

Perfect way to celebrate a friends birthday.
New decor looks fantastic, rich dark paint, rustic wood and accessories.
Spotlessly clean.
Cheery and very welcoming atmosphere. So nice to be able go in for just a drink if you want to.
Staff are really engaging, helpful,
fun and friendly.
Lovely meal and what a plate full.
Chocolate brownies are a must, homemade and fab.
If you want a lovely meal, friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere well give it a go.
A place that looks after their locals and tourists alike

+1
Stayed one night, £110 room only. The restaurant was closed which wasn't a problem as enjoyed a meal at another pub, but the bar wasn't open either, also not really an issue.
The room was very dated in decor and facilities. A large family room with a small TV and no glasses for water or drinks. The towels were so thin you could see through them, one with a hole in and frayed edges. Whilst all pretty clean there was mildew around the bath edge and tiles and a crack in the sink(see photos).
There was a note in the room asking you not to take a bath or turn the heating up (not that we required heating)
We appreciate the need to reduce costs but as paying guests on holiday, we feel these aren't appropriate requests.
There was noise from the floor above until gone midnight leading to a poor night's sleep.
The owner was very friendly and welcoming and had only had the inn for 2 days. Sadly we won't be returning and wouldn't recommend staying there but wish the owner luck in her new venture as the establishment needs a lot of money and work to bring it up to a standard worthy of £110 per night (without breakfast!).

Stayed overnight recently. The room was ok but was slightly dirty around the area of the coffee, tea, mugs etc and the windows of the room were filthy which was a real shame as the outlook was Falkland Palace. I had a full Scottish breakfast but it was quite poor quality, made with cheap meat.

We stayed in Falkland at the Bruce last year, and just love it’s central location and easy going atmosphere. The food was excellent , and the hotel were very on point with track and trace details. Crawford was very accommodating when I slightly messed up my booking details

Crawford was an amazing host! Very welcoming and so was Roger the pub dog.
The inn was lovely and quiet, we felt safe and the breakfast was perfect. The surrounding village is lovely to walk around at night and the buzz that came from a warm Scottish Friday night at The Covenanter was awesome to witness.
We would definitely stay here again!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hi people,
Falklands a definite tourist town. I myself am a Fifer.
The haggis starter was ok. Not good over cooked and crisp was a crust.
I ordered fish n chips as main.. oh dear was bad.
Chips were ridiculously over salted. The fish was greasy. (No tartare sauce either) also no peas! (Get your head around that people)!
Fish n chips from Bruce inn is as follows.
Greasy tawtie chips and very salty.
Fish is greasy and not quality.
They don’t offer tartare sauce just one splice (that’s not a typo) of lemon.
Pedantic food.
Staff were excellent throughout.

Perfect location looking across at Falkland Palace. A beautiful area. Our room and bathroom were massive, clean and warm what more could you ask for?
Unfortunately the bar and restaurant were closed due to Scotland only just coming out of lockdown and I understand the owners were taking the opportunity to refurbish the kitchen. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

We stayed for a about 10 days at this B&B and it was amazing! The new owners are very knowledgeable and friendly, and we like that it is a family run business. The room as well as the restaurant and bathrooms were perfectly clean. The new rustic décor adds to the charm of the old building. The staff were all very helpful and kind. We will definitely be returning!
