My friend and I think the previous review is very unfair. We found the moment we arrived at the Crusoe we were welcomed. We cannot comment on their room but ours was lovely and clean with fantastic views across the water. Lovely and cosy too. Our meals were lovely both nights and again served with a smile. Breakfast was lovely...

We have being going to the Cruseo hotel for many years, what we always liked was the location, in one of our favourite villages in Fife, the hotel and the bar area allow dogs at no extra cost, and most importantly the bar food has always been very good, so we took the plunge and decided to stay the night....

A mini break away with husband. Great location with stunning views. Staff are great and food served all cooked fresh on the premises. Right on the coastal route so take a good pair of walking shoes and enjoy the outdoors. Hotel is dog friendly and your dog can join you in the bar for meals. There is separated dining if...

I would recommend this hotel. Went away mid-week for a birthday break. The hotel is right on the edge of the sea and the waves come right up to it. I could have stayed in my room watching them all day. The room was comfy, clean and very warm. The bathroom was in need of some attention but was still...

This was a first visit to this little piece of history tucked away on the waterline at Lower Largo and what a joy it is. The road from Forth Bridge in the dark and wet night was a little stressful but the welcome made up for the journey. From the first welcome from the staff to the final goodbye, the...

We know this area fairly well, living just over an hour away in Edinburgh. However we've never stayed overnight. We decided on a two day break at the Crusoe Hotel and absolutely fell in love with it. It's an older hotel, and as such has character ...lots of it. There are lots of stairs to some of the rooms, ask...

Lovely hotel, absolutely incredible staff. So accommodating nothing was too much trouble! Food was all to die for. Chips were the best I've had. Rooms can do with an update but were cosy, comfy and clean Views are incredible!

The hotel is very definitely anchored in the 20th century - probably the third rather than the fourth quarter. The carpets, decor and stiff fire doors are a nostalgic reminder of what hotels used to be like before the hospitality revolution of the last 25 years. Having said that, the staff are really friendly, efficient and helpful, the food offer...

We took our dog on the trip and the Crusoe was perfect for that. The hotel is right on the beach so a lovely early morning pre breakfast walk was brilliant. We walked to Leven along the beach. The walk was better than the arriving though. Not a particularly nice place. We went to St Andrews which is only 12...

A very friendly and cosy hotel right on the beach . We took the opportunity to stay here overnight via Groupon deal to coincide with visiting friends. The room was small however clean and had all that we needed . We dined in the lounge at night and had a lovely meal followed by a couple of drinks in the...
