We wanted to eat at Glenisle on our last evening on Arran but we were so very late to book that we ended up having an "early tea" at 5pm. As we walked to the hotel we convinced ourselves that it was coming up to 7pm! Whatever... as we arrived we were warmly greeted. Drinks served as we looked over...

Despite all the wonderful reviews we somehow must have slipped through the net. We booked the best room for one night at £228 as an anniversary celebration. It was a lovely big room with nice touches like binoculars and low level lighting - however, the painted furniture was beginning to look tired, the fabric on the stool was stained, and...

An excellent friendly small hotel with good bistro food. Staff were extremely friendly, chatty and helpful. Room was excellent size and clean. Breakfast poached eggs were perfect 1st morning but I got hard fried ones on the 2nd when runny poached ones were ordered.

Andrew, Many thanks for your feedback. I am very pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with us, and our staff always delighted when they get positive comments from guests. I am so sorry about the mix up with the eggs - I will have a word with the breakfast staff to remind them about double checking orders. However,...

Not having stayed at the Glenisle for about 5 years our return reminded us how much we enjoyed our stay. From friendly, helpful staff to excellent food and fresh. clean rooms with every amenity we could not fault the hotel. The beer garden on a sunny Saturday afternoon rounded off the weekend perfectly! Look forward to a futures return.

Very smart hotel with friendly staff. Cosy double was just that - very nice room and service. We really appreciated touches like maps and binoculars to borrow, and good local information. The bus stop is right outside and there's a good Co-op nearby for supplies. The evening food menu is excellent, some of the best food on Arran. The cooked...

Dear Ben, Many thanks for your feedback and I am pleased to read that you had a good stay with us, and that you really enjoyed the evening meals. You have mentioned that the cooked breakfast was a little inconsistent and I must apologise for that. As we go into the new season we employ new chefs - from your...

A lovely small hotel where we had a a great 3 night stay. The staff were friendly and healpful and the accommodation was first class. The attention to detail was as you would find in a 5star hotel. We were unlucky with the weather but it didn't matter as there were fires lit in both public rooms where you could...
