We had a great stay. Karen was brilliant at helping before and during our stay. The pods are small (as you’d expect) but have all you need and can fit 2 adults and 1/2 kids. Lots of warm water. Lovely little area for BBQ, picnics and for kids to play. There is even an honest shop in case you have left anything at home. We’d gladly come back here again!

Without a doubt 5 stars, everything was immaculate on arrival. We got lucky with beautiful weather during our stay so spent most of our time outside by the fire pits / barbeque. Even if the weather was abhorrent, we would have been fine as the inside of the huts is so well done everything seemed really thought out and had everything you needed. Finally, the scenery around the site was just beautiful and really well managed, definitely will stay here again next time I go up this way.

By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes. A Macbeth quote but one not worthy of Macbeth Hillock pod glamping. Nothing wicked about it at all. The pod, or hobbit hut as the kids called it was our stay for 3-4days. 2 adults. 2 kids. 2 dogs. It was excellent. All mod cons in a small space; kettle, toaster, hot shower, toilet, fridge, comfy beds etc. Space outside was ideal to throw a frisbee, play football, or if there are small children, play in sand pit. The fire pit was brilliant. Keeps the older kids entertained- making fire. But bring marshmallows with you. If you forget, not to worry. The on site “shop” sells them along with skewers and other things you may have forgotten. The basic “shop” is open 24/7. The pods have plenty of utensils and pots available, chairs and even washing up liquid and sponge. What more is needed. Ah yes. Scottish weather. But we were lucky with sunshine all day long. Plenty of activities around too- forest walks, beach walks, loch walks- Loch Ness is only 40mins away, and Brodie castle is right next door. It’s only a 40 min slow walk from pod to castle. The castle car park has a fast EV charging point, so extremely handy, but there are also rapid chargers and plenty of fast chargers in Nairn and Forres. Plenty of EV charging available near by. Owners were very friendly and welcoming. And if you ask what the sheep names are, like us, you will have a smile on your face as sheep names are hilarious. But not as funny as their bleatings…grraaaace….baaaaeeee. A lovely place. Highly recommended. But our next visit will not include 2 kids and 2 dogs. Just 2 adults. Thank you Macbeth Hillock.

This was my second stay at Macbeth's Hillock and I can't wait to come back! A truly great place - the glamping pods are excellent with everything needed for either a short or long stay. The site is superb with masses of green space and the fire pit is a particular highlight! Karen and George are excellent hosts - and thanks to them both very much for a great stay.

Abosutley beautiful pod. We stayed here and enjoyed some luxury after camping. It was just perfect and actually more spacious that I expected. It was warm and cosy and has heating inside. Perfect bathroom with a great shower and I really enjoyed having a decent shower! The pod was spotless and we enjoyed a bbq and fire pit outside. It's also very covid friendly with each pod being at least 2 metres apart and each pod having its own bench and fire pit. The pod has everything you need including fridge and cooking facilities wne cukterly. Very impressed and cant wait to go back again! The owner text us on arrival to check if we needed anything, all in all a perfect stay.

Perfect pod on a lovely site. My 3 year old loved the sand pit and ball net. We all appreciated the fire pit and camping chairs. So quiet yet really near to so many places to visit. Nothing was a bother to the campsite owners either who we bought logs and kindling from. The pod was exceptionally clean and the beds really comfy. We would definitely like to return at a later date.

My wife and I and two adult children stayed here in August. We are from Canada and it was our second night in Scotland. It was so much fun cooking, eating and sleeping in such a small space. In the evening everyone from the five huts gathered for a camp-fire. There were people from the Czech Republic,, Italy, England, Scotland and Canada gathered around the fire. Then, to top it all off, the owners Son played the bag-pipes for us, what a treat. Staying there was one of the top high-lights of our trip.

Lovely glamping pods! Comfy, good shower, clean & well equipped with all the essentials. Cutlery, pots, utensils, kettle, toaster & fridge with freezer compartment. We were totally delighted by the wee pod & found the whole experience fun - our 5 year old loved it. There is a sandpit for the kids & a selection of toys and books you can borrow from the honesty shop. The firepit was great for bbq's & burning wood which we did both nights as we were lucky with the weather. Each pod also has an outdoor picnic bench plus a fold out table with 4 stools. We took our own bedding and towels but you can hire these for an extra cost. The owner Karen was very helpful and answered all my queries before arrival - she even popped over to check we were ok on our 1st night. The grounds are clean & spacious. Going back into the pod at night to cosy down & sleep was really nice. It was peaceful & relaxing....waking up to the sun & eating breakfast outside - great!! Kids played outside all weekend, no TV. A nice way to escape the rat race & just relax. I would recommend Macbeths hillock & would love to return. Excellent value for money.
