Stayed here last month for a couple of days. We had dinner at their restaurant and the food was excellent. Arguably the best restaurant in Forres. The rooms always smells fresh and very clean. The rooms also have a lovely view.

Never ever have we had a more welcoming and totally enjoyable couple of days stay in any establishment we have ever stayed in. Even if we were accommodated in a tent out the back, the hospitality bestowed upon us by our hosts, especially Lloyd would have made our stay enjoyable. The house is old and dates back to 1859 and...

This was our 2nd visit to this outstanding hotel. We cannot wait for our 3rd visit. Everything about it was 1st class! The room had lovely views - best of all was seeing the red squirrel, woodpecker and countless other birds in the garden. The bed was comfortable and the service was exceptional and Lloyd's food is the best we...

Beautiful, elegant room! The owners Julia and Lloyd are both very friendly and easy to talk to - excellent customer service 😃 Recommend dinner in the hotel - Lloyd cooks and is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about every dish he creates! Dinner and breakfast were both next to none!!! Thank you for a lovely stay!

6 pour and 1 terrible review out of nearly 200 really says it all. We have just returned home from a 5 night stay including 4 evening meals, one a special occasion with relatives. If you want a nondescript, passionless hotel with no character this is not for you. You get a full on welcome, especially if it's Lloyd who...

We had a 3 night stay in The Davies room.... a lovely room with a small but very adequate shower room, and a separate room for clothing and cases. It was tastefully decorated and furnished. It certainly had everything we could have wanted. The food is so good! I would recommend this 'restaurant with rooms' for the food alone. Everything...

Just spent 2 nights at the cluny bank, from the moment we arrived to to second we left all was perfect. Owners Julia and Lloyd could not have been more welcoming, even though we arrived later than expected, the double room on the first floor was beautiful and more than met our expectations. The following morning we enjoyed the various...

Our 'go to' place to stay when visiting the area. Having stayed here many times over the last 5 years our expectations were high for this visit, and as per usual the owners, Julia & Lloyd, delivered yet again. A beautifully presented and impressive building, with masses of original charm. Friendly hosts who always offer a warm welcome, and food...

This is a select hotel in a 19th century mansion house. It has a bar and a highly rated restaurant. If you are planning a tour with a dinner then this is the place to have the dinner. Forres Golf Club is nearby and it is only 20 minutes walk to Forres with about the same again to the Sueno...
