We stayed as a group of 3 cyclists - there are 7 rooms in all. Rooms simple and a decent size. The Cluny is known for its food and rightly so. Fantastic evening meal. Each dish was talked through by the chef. Rhubarb ice cream a bit icy - we had been warned - but if this is the price...

We had a really wonderful overnight stay at the Cluny Bank Hotel on 18 May. The hotel is very " country house " in style and retains all the original features. Our room was full of character and the bed was extremely comfy and the bed linen was very high quality - most important ! Dinner, which was cooked by...

We have been regular visitors to the Cluny Bank to visit Lloyd and Julia for our annual Christmas Lunch for over ten years. Our overriding reason for this is not only the outstanding food but the amazing hospitality afforded to us. They are a fantastic hard working couple who always go that extra mile to make our day extra special....

I stayed here one night on business and I really enjoyed it, the rooms are tastefully decorated and are clean, breakfast was very nice and perfectly done, I found the restaurant quite pricey for what it was as it was over my dinning allowance from work, nice food though

We recently headed to Cluny Bank, staying in Balchin's Den, for an overnight stay. I think Restaurant With Rooms, rather than Hotel, describes this place perfectly as the restaurant really is First Class and should be the headliner. We enjoyed a drink in our room and then headed into the main house to the lovely, cosy, bar where you can...

Excellent room, very comfy and cosy! Very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent and freshly prepared to order. The couple who run the hotel are lovely! Very friendly and take the time to get to know you and what you would like / need during your stay. I will definitely be going back!

I had an all too brief stay at the Cluny, but it felt like being at home. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The small downstairs bar was lovely and cozy with the gas fire lit, very welcome after being out in the fold. Breakfast was well cooked, with a nice selection to choose from. Unfortunately I had to...

What a welcome! Arriving in the dark, we had to navigate the rental car up a narrow driveway. Hard to do, when you are in awe of your home for the next 2 nights. Im a kiwi, so an old stone house is excitement. The owner himself welcomed us, took our bags and we checked in. The owner and his...

Stunning boutique hotel run by a husband and wife team who really looked after us. The hotel is beautifully decorated and kept and feel surrounded in luxury but with a lot of hospitality to add. Felt thoroughly looked after. Def book into the restaurant for dinner. You will be truly spoil even if like me you are vegetarian - if...
