Spent a night at the Reiver House with my wife and two grown up daughters . Was met by Sue the owner who was so nice and helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay brilliant . The rooms were spacious and light with excellent tea and coffee making facilities . The cooked breakfast was really good with vegetarian options available along with the usual cereals and fresh fruit and compote. All in all could not fault anything about our stay and will definitely stay there again.
Extremely clean room and friendly hostess Sue .lovely breakfast and always there if need any extra coffee etc .we could only stay 2 nights this time .Easy to access all areas of interest. in Forres and beyond . Thankyou for your hospitality hope to be back soon MrA& mrsV
This is a real gem if you are visiting this area. I always receive a warm welcome. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfasts are amazing and a great start to your day. On this visit I also had an evening meal which was exceptional. If you are ever in this area give it a try, you will not be disappointed. Thank you once again for making me feel so welcome.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Reiver House Bed & Breakfast in Forres. Our large room offered a front window view of Forres, Nelson's Tower and the outlying area. We were offered a large bottle of cold water upon arrival and breakfast the next morning was delicious and abundant to say the least. Such wonderful hospitality offered by the owners and the internet was great. Their location is perfect for an evening stroll down to the park or a visit to nearby restaurants. You can also visit the huge Picto-Scottish standing stone Sueno's Stone which is just a short walk down the road. We can highly recommend the Reiver House Bed & Breakfast for comfort and true hospitality.
I had thought I would be staying for a few days but I ended up needing to be in Forres for 2 weeks. During my stay Sue, who is lovely and charming made me feel extremely welcome and looked after me very well. My room was spacious, cosy, spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything I needed - hairdryer/tea & coffee making facilities. I had a sofa, table and chairs, and .... goose filled pillows (optional). Breakfast everyday was varied and very tasty. Very good value for money. Reiver House was a perfect location for my purposes. The Ramnee Hotel is 1 minutes walking distance which is open to non-residence (I have stayed there & Reiver House is better accommodation) or the Mosset Tavern is just under a miles walk toward the town. I will definitely stay again when in the area - much better than some of the hotels in the area! No negatives - 100% perfect for me!…
We enjoyed a second stay in Reiver House a couple of weeks ago. Needless to say we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Many thanks once again to Sue for our welcome, our great room and of course the breakfasts! I recommended Reiver House in my last review and do so again. Best B&B in Forres!
Wonderful stay in Forres whilst touring Scotland. Sue and Rob are perfect hosts 😀 The B&B was centrally located in Forres with only a 5 minute walk to the local shops, park and restaurants. There was parking on-site and our room was spacious and quiet with a comfortable bed and en-suite shower. Breakfast every morning was deliciously cooked with a wide choice and we couldn’t fault anything.
Had a lovely stay here while up fishing with a friend. Sue was very helpful and welcoming and couldn’t of done more for us. Very comfortable and ideal location if you are fishing in this area of Scotland. Breakfast provided was 1st class…thank you for a great stay.
Arrived on a Saturday and were greeted by Sue who was very friendly and welcoming (as were Rob and Paul when we met them later in our stay), they were never intrusive but were always on hand when we needed them. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated, the beds were very comfortable and we slept very well for the four nights we were there. Breakfast was lovely - I've never had haggis for breakfast before but it complements the rest of the meal. The B&B is very close to the High Street with the shops, bars and restaurants all within easy walking distance. The main A96 is only a short drive away for visiting some of the local sights (and direct access to the airport). Overall we had a lovely stay and would be very happy to return when we are in the area.
Excellent b&b… extremely clean and very comfortable. Good breakfast, good value for money at this lovely home. Sue was extremely kind and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble! Hope to see you again one day!
