Lovely campsite in the midst of trees. Convenient onsite kitchen, clean facilities and a wonderfully hot shower. We specifically enjoyed the neat fire pit. On top of all that a fun, cheerlful and helpful staff. Just a very good vibe!
A great campsite with huge tent with wood burner and inflatable mattresses. Felt more like "glamping" than camping. The toilets and showers are clean and warm, the outdoor kitchen was a great hit with the kids (although some fairy lights or something to give it a wee bit of light at night would be nice) and the setting is so quiet and peaceful. Would definitely return.
A fantastic camp site set amongst a wooded hillside. Each camp area is surrounded by trees and comes with its own steel firepit. The facilities are simple but excellent. Fitting for the kind of site. Warm and clean showers and toilets. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this site.
We had a fantastic morning family white water rafting! I was quite nervous to start with (with a 6 and 8 y/o on board) but Annabelle and the team were great and it felt really safe. The scenery was lovely even in the rain. I would throughly recommend this as a family day out.
We had a really enjoyable stay at one of the generously sized woodland camping pitches. Although there were other pitches around, it never felt overcrowded. Tracey and the staff were very helpful, accommodating and friendly. Loos and showers were modern, cleaned regularly and the water for the showers was lovely and warm! A safe campfire spot - with a handy shelf for a pot or kettle - was a fantastic bonus. Thanks for a great stay in a stunning spot!
We stayed here for the first couple of nights of our NC500 trip and loved it so much we came back to finish it off. The location is beautiful and we loved camping in the woods with our own fire pit. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Wood is available to purchase for the fire which was handy. Conveniently located within 30 mins of Inverness and the surrounding area. Would highly recommend this place.
We camped at ACE Hideaways this weekend and despite rainfall the first night we had a fantastic time! The setting is great, beautiful forest - and each tent pitch gets their own fire pit! It felt very private and we loved it. Clear instructions were left for us with a map to our pitch (owl) as we arrived out of office hours. The only fault we could comment on (not ACE’s) was some unruly guests over the weekend that woke the whole campsite up at 3am on both nights... this isn’t that kind of place and it’s a shame it took away from what was otherwise a perfectly serene campsite. Don’t bring your rowdy stag do here! Very clean facilities; showers and toilets were spotless and evidently cleaned throughout the day. Lots of activities on offer - we didn’t get round to them this time as we were hiking, but will go back to try our hands at canyoning! Oh- and the resident chickens are very friendly! Definitely one of the best campsites we’ve ever stayed at, we highly recommend it, and will be back! …
We stayed for several days in one of the Bell tents in this very attractive and well run camping spot. Tracey does an excellent job running this side of the business and was a pleasure to deal with sorting out the one significant problem we had (not of her making) with charm and speed. The bell tents are as described: basic but with the minimum necessary to make camping more comfortable than a bare tent on bare ground. The common facilities are good though the field kitchen could do with a revamp I think. This area of Scotland is outstanding and well worth the trip up here. No need to turn left at Glasgow! I'd highly recommend this place
An amazing find. Delighted we chose to stay at Ace Hideaways. We stayed in the bell tent which was a super size and had mattress’s. Kids really enjoyed it. We relaxed fully in such a lovely environment. Tracy was super friendly and helpful. Will defiantly be back!
Stayed in both a shepherds hut and camping pitch over the summer. Great place. Very friendly and helpful. Activities available on site and near to walks and areas of interest. Dogs welcome. The huts are well appointed and set in lovely woodland with everything you need available. The camping spots are large, each with an individual fire pit and grill. Showers are available and a camp kitchen too. Will be back!
