Myself and four friends stayed for a sporting event nearby. The hotel has obviously recently been refurbished and no expense spared it is luxury. Spacious rooms ,comfy beds , you even get free bottled water and a caramel log!! . The restaurant and bar are also beautifully designed and service and food was very tasty with a great menu choice...

We stayed here for 2 nights when visiting friends in Strathaven, after a long drive from Manchester, check-in was quick and easy. The room was on the small side for a family of 4 but it was only used for sleeping in. The beds were very comfortable and breakfast was amazing, such a wide choice of food, even my very...

Rooms and staff good, though my shower this morning was not brill. Shower in room 19 needs attention and did advise staff about this this morning. This could happen anywhere however. Nice rooms, generally clean, just let down by tea coffee stains on bathroom door. Just obviously been missed. Food appropriately prices, fair menu and the best gammon and chips...

We were looking for a venue for a family naming ceremony and booked the Moorings function suite for a group of sixty plus including children of varying ages The room was nicely set up by the hotel and we were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the manager made sure we...

Went to this hotel for Christmas lunch. What's not to like ? Excellent venue with friendly staff and very good food. Excellent portion size, well presented and well cooked. Can't comment on the rooms or anything but the function rooms and the dining room are well appointed. The "facilities" we're spotless. Well done all.

Visited the restaurant with friends, food and service were fantastic, superb menu, food so flavoursome and well presented. Sweets of creme brulee and apple/rhubarb crumble to die for.Long time since I had been but can't wait to go back.

Stayed here overnight for work. Room was comfortable and nicely decorated (might've been a bit small for two but perfect for my stay). Hotel was immaculate and within a short walk to the town centre. Very quiet overnight despite my room facing a fairly busy road. Staff were all lovely and friendly and the food in the restaurant was delicious.

The BEST WESTERN Moorings Hotel provides the magic near Motherwell! Built in 1891 as the private home for a member of a famous Scottish steel dynasty, our beautiful main building has held its charm and offers a unique, understated and timeless air of refinement to this day. The surroundings are undeniably chic, but the overall ambience remains humble enough to be homely. A "B" listed building within a local conservation area, BEST WESTERN Moorings Hotel has built on its 19th century roots to meet 21st century needs and provides guests with classic character. We still have some of the original stained glass windows, and our hospitality is traditional and unintrusive. ... more   less
