We have spent 4 nights at this very friendly B&B. Carol & Alan are warm and welcoming hosts. The breakfast menu (and dinner) has variety and it's excellent. Above all this, the view from the living - dinning room is exquisite : onlooking the sea and some cliffs of Eday, loads of birds to watch and as well sun bathing...

First class B&B. Service and rooms excellent, and wonderful breakfast. Would recommend to anyone. Not too far from ferry, and easy to find. Lovely view from sitting room. Have stayed in many B&B establishments and this one is probably the best.

Braeswick is a great B&B in a wonderful setting. Alan and Carol are great hosts and great cooks, and Sanday is a wonderful place to visit. I have visited twice: two nights in July 2015 and one night in March 2016, and Braeswick has been great both times. I was travelling for work, but managed to spend some time watching...

Spent two nights here at Braeswick as part of two weeks in Orkney. A fabulous modern house with fantastic hosts. Lovely rooms, lovely breakfasts, lovely location. The dining room is fantastic with views across the bay with lazing seals, not easy to see with the naked eye but a telescope is provided. The island of Sanday is fabulous and this...

My husband and I stayed at Braeswick for several nights whilst visiting my aunt who lives on the island. What a hidden gem! Hosts Carol and Alan spoiled us with a delicious breakfast every morning and the accommodations were immaculate and quite comfortable. Their dog, Tommy, greeted us each morning and evening with wags. What a lovely setting! We shall...

Stayed here 2 nights on our visit to Sanday and like most of the other posters it is a gem of B&B. The hosts Alan & Carol make you most welcomed and even Tommy the dog and listening to Alan’s stories of getting the house built was a laugh from start to finish. The bedrooms not large but adequate with...

I'm just coming to the end of a week of working on Sanday and staying at Braeswick. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The house is warm and comfortable with lovely bedrooms and a big sitting/dining room where guests can be totally at ease to sit and enjoy the beautiful views, read, get on with some work, or whatever. Carol...

I can only agree with all previous comments. We stayed with our family and were so sad that we had only booked one night and had to catch a ferry the next day. We all agreed it was our best night of our holidays! (And the best shower we've ever had in all of the UK!) We ordered the picnic...
