These were the three most unforgettable days in a wonderful place. Keiko and Patrick (and their lovely girls) deliver this experience with passion, warmth and love. The sense of pleasure they take in sharing this beautiful house and everything about Orkney is palpable. Our room was gorgeous, the bed large, the sheets soft, the bathroom just right - all framed...

We went for a wedding anniversary treat. What people say about the food is right - it beats every eatery locally by a million miles and I am local so I have eaten everywhere to many times to count. The hospitality is more like a homecoming to a very stylish home and it’s not the decor its everything. Every detail...

Thoroughly enjoyable place to stay with excellent accommodation in every respect. Super clean room with a great bed and quiet night’s sleep every night. The briefing on how to make the best from our stay in Orkney was so valuable and made a real difference to the whole trip. The converted church is a serene and calm atmosphere to return...

My mistake was…. making this the first stop on our 3 week Scotland vacation. For the next 2 1/2 weeks my husband and I compared our accommodations to Eastward Guest House…. Remember the grouse in the garden out front? Remember that relaxing sitting room with the incredible sound system? Remember the sunlight pouring through those high windows? Yet curtains that...

My partner and I choose this as a destination to get away from stress of work and to find a place to be in peace. Nothing could have prepared us for what we found. It is hard to say it but very quickly you feel real friendship and if you are sceptical to look for an act it is not...

Where do I start? We received a warm welcome from Patrick and Keiko on arrival and were treated to hot drinks and a helpful talk from Patrick about all Orkney has to offer. He talked a lot about the breakfast so we were expecting great things and we definitely weren't disappointed! We are both veggies and our hosts went all...

A quick ten-minute drive from the St. Margaret's Bay ferry (all bets are off if you get in at Stromness, it'd be quite a drive) is this fantastic establishment nestled in an old church building in the rolling hills of South Ronaldsay. We came in out of a blustery day and were immediately sat at a feast of boar, venison,...

first of all, the building itself is magical, a church converted to a b&b/family home, with comfy rooms and a spaceous, well equipped (there's books and cds) lounge, where you can hang out in the evening and let yourself be entertained by one (or more) of patricks hilariously funny stories, get some tips for your next days trip, have a...

To eat dinner here is memorabile which is better than any place what we visited in Scotland. The fresh seafood is made with perfection into a great occasion. My wife and I was surprised for this house to be better than the three chimneys restaurant. The house is very modern and very well clean inside. After walking all day they...
