No-one appears to have written a review for a while so wanted to say that the Fort Augustus Chalet Park is an ideal place to relax in its tranquil setting. It is a small park of wooden-clad chalets hidden just off the Caledonian canal a few minutes walk from the main canal locks and Loch Ness area. An ideal base...

We come up to Fort Augustus (FA) four or five times each year and used to stay in local hotels and B&B's, and on our walks along the Caledonian Canal, we have passed the FACP and liked the location. This year we had to book two back to back stays in the same month, and, after reading a positive review...

This is our third stay here and as always, the chalets are clean, warm dry and cosy, we saw roe deer in the next field they didn't come onto the site this year, the sighted pine marten eluded us again, (I think they are mythical), as always we rigged up our bird feeders and it's a great pleasure sat watching...

My partner and I stayed at the FA Chalet Park for 4 nights just after Easter (2013). We had initially planned to stay there for 2 nights but the owners (Clive & Julie) had offered us car hop (which involved picking us up from the end of our walk each day and dropping us back there the following morning) so...

The Chalets are being refurbished and are spacious, cosy, warm and well equipted, we soon make our selves at home. Clive and Julie are great hosts and always ready to help with advice...

This is actually the second time we have stayed here, from the outside it probably leaves somewhat to be desired but the chalet we stayed is had been renovated and is very comfortable, warm and equiped, we like the birds and the wildlife and if you like this then it is a shame there is no bird feeders about (...

This was our first visit to Scotland and we couldn't have been happier with our accomodation. The Chalet Park is situated within walking distance to local shops, pubs and restaurants. The facilities were great, the chalet was clean and comfortable and in a lovely quiet area. It's a great place to stay if you want to explore Loch Ness and...

Initially my partner and I where going to be staying at a hotel just down the road but unfortunatley that fell through however they put us in contact with Julie and Clive who had a spare chalet for the two days we were planning on staying and gave us free breakfast in the morning as compensation. Julie and Clive were...

“No Wifi yet, but Julie and Clive have wifi at the B&B that they own/live in 50 metres away from the chalet park if you really need to have wifi access. Why anyone would want contact with the outside world when coming here is beyond me. It contradicts the whole point of the tranquility. J&C were considering making the reception chalet on the park into a wifi lounge but this is only a consideration at the moment. I Like chalet 1 personally, but I have been given a guided tour of all of the chalets. Chalet 7 is the most modern but to be honest, I would still choose chalet 1. Creature of habit.”
