We stayed here as part of our NC 500 trip and cannot wait to return and spend more than one night. After travelling from the Isle of Skye it seemed that the last 12 mile were more like 100 miles. When we drove into the hotel car park the sun was setting so we did not get to appreciate the...

When we booked Deborah had suggested that we have the Log House as we have 2 Black Labs and the extra space would be perfect. We arrived near 7pm due to the later ferry, Deborah took us to the Log House and it was quite a surprise, a mini house!!!!! Perfect, I just wish we could have stayed another night,...

Fantastic views, excellent device and wonderful food. We had the small seafood platter to share which was fabulous and great value for money. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Scotland at its best!

We stayed in the Chaplin Room, where Charlie himself stayed, and it was obvious why he liked this hotel. Its setting is stunning (see photograph), the hotel is comfortable and the personal quality of the service is outstanding. From Deborah's welcome, through the friendly but unobtrusive service in the bar and restaurant, everything contributes to the feeling of being valued...

We arrived in bright sunshine and saw the hotel and views at their very best. We stayed in one of the cabins with a grass roof. It was lovely and had an excellent bathroom. However, the walls were very thin and we could hear snoring from the room next door! The bathroom floor also sweats when you shower and becomes...

I came up to the Summerisles Hotel back in May with my mum as we were doing the famous "Route 500" and it was my favourite stop on the trip. You don't come across this hotel by accident (it's almost at the end of a 12 mile single-track road), but I am so glad that we picked it. Achiltibuie is...

Dear Bekibeanbag I must thank you for visiting the hotel, not just once this year, but twice - what greater compliment could we have ! I'm sure you and your mum enjoyed the NC 500 back in May and I hope it was during the lovely sunny spell we had in that month. Delighted too that you brought your other...

Our road trip around Scotland provided us with the excuse to visit this lovely small hotel. Having come to Auchiltibue a number of times when our children were little, we had never actually stayed at the hotel, so 20 years later we finally made it. We were greeted on arrival by a friendly member of staff who showed us to...

Dear whosaid Many thanks for your lovely review. As we near the end of the season it is very good to see that our quality of food and standard of service is not slipping. I am glad that you mentioned booking in advance for a bar meal because if you haven't visited the hotel before you wouldn't know that the...

Small hotel, impressive restaurant, and wonderful view of the Summer Isles. A great combination which is very hard to beat. The scenario is breath-taking. The hotel also has a cottage which accommodates up to 6 - so is great for a family visit.

Dear WZander Many thanks for the review. I do remember your party and it is lovely to hear that you have gone away with such happy memories of your stay here at the Summer Isles and the find restaurant .........and of course this stunning location. It may be remote but in my view that is part of the attraction! I...

We stayed 2 nights on Tuesday and Wednesday the 4th and 5th of October and had a wonderful time. The location is magical with fantastic views of the Summer Isles. We stayed in the Oscaig room which was really comfortable with lovely views over the sea. We ate in the bar on both evenings and the mussels and seafood platter...

Dear SimonT Thank you for your lovely review. It is wonderful to hear how much you enjoyed your visit and you were certainly lucky with the weather - we are having a fantastic autumn. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the seafood in the bar - and the beer!......and also your cooked breakfast each morning. Your comments will, as usual,...

Stopped for lunch and found the lunch to be adequate, can't be more complimentary than that. It is a real shame that the bar area is not dog friendly. Almost every other pub we visited on the West Coast of Scotland was dog friendly. A minor criticism but important if you don't want to leave a dog in the car.

Dear GBBoxer Thank you for your review and sorry to hear that you found the lunch only 'adequate' although you didn't say why. With regards to our dog policy, we do welcome dogs at the hotel and indeed dogs are allowed in the majority of bedrooms. We also have guests who would prefer a hotel where dogs are not permitted...
