A afternoon stopover and had this real nice bowl of chowder and presumably home baked bread, excellent service on a busy afternoon when it seemed just about all the tables were occupied. Seating was comfortable not overly packed like in most small sea side places, Clean and tasteful decor,

My wife and I stayed here for one night on our way to Skye. Upon leaving we both wished we had stayed longer. Its a great little hotel that is very well taken care of and and has a lot neat little intricacies. They have a little private bar for guests where you serve yourself and you can imagine yourself...

Fabulous location, very quiet after the few day tourists leave Shieldaig. The hotel is nicely decorated and clean, you feel immediately at home. The twin room my parents stayed in had a beautiful stunning view across the bay to the little island, made well up for shower with little water pressure. My and the dog's single room was to back...

Came here ad-hoc bypassing all the famous neighbours and were charmed and delighted by this small gem in a heavenly location. Rooms tastefully decorated. Lovely local staff. Super food. And the best scenery possible with beautiful walks and drives in every direction.

Fabulous setting, great dinner of local seafood...recommend the chowder and then the langoustine scampi as a special alternative to 'fish and chips'. Rooms have no tv but the the view from the bedroom needs no tv, hence my title of 'very special', however there is decent wifi if needs must. Weather has been great this week, I look like I've...

A comfortable, homely hotel with friendly staff, superb seafood in the restaurant and an 'honesty' bar for residents - such a nice touch in this age of suspicion and over-zealous security. The hotel is old so be prepared for low ceilings, narrow stairs and changes in floor levels, all of which add to the charm. The plumbing seems to have...

We were looking forward to re-visiting this restaurant after previous great meals, but it was a bit disappointing this time. The chowder is not to be missed - superb; just have a cup full rather than a bowl if you are going to have anything else afterwards, but it's a meal in itself. After that, it went a bit downhill....

This is the 3rd fabulous time we have stayed here, our room was different again, spacious and delightful. The staff were very helpful and the food superb. The home made seafood pizza from the wood fired oven, followed by the homemade chocolate baileys cheese cake where to die for all washed down with a lovely bottle of Rose. Nice walk...

Great location, very helpful staff, nice restaurant and bar right next to hotel. Hotel is a bit 'old school' - no TV in room, quaint decoration, etc but all the better for it, more like a home from home and the drying room is a nice touch.

This is probably the freindliest and most relaxed hotel we've ever stayed in. Honesty bar, cosy lounge, and nothing-is-too-much-trouble staff. You can watch white-tailed eagles from the breakfast table! Other breakfast highlights include the tattie (Scots for tater) scones and the excellent black pudding. Evening meals in the adjacent restaurant (also owned by the hotel) were generous and really tasty....
