Our stay in this hotel was a very pleasant surprise. There are some very poor reviews and I would not have chosen to stay here had we not had two dogs. This is the only hotel in the area that welcomes dogs and they certainly did get a welcome from the very friendly staff. The public areas of the hotel...

Very friendly staff...clean,tidy room. Wholesome food and value for money. Was very impressed with the village... Nice Victorian architecture. Will definitely go back and it would be nice to see the Strathpeffer pipe band.

We recently spent 4 nights at the Strathpeffer Hotel. We were part of a large group and were enjoying the first part of a 2 centre holiday. On arrival were were met by Mimi, who was the daughter of the manager. She explained really well the set up for our 4 nights. Our first meal was dinner, as we arrived...

Food not the best frozen veg every night Rooms run down Staff great Bar prices over inflated for offshore guys staying Would not go back Staff are the best thing about this hotel they deserve all tips from the bar not have the owners take a share as it's the staff that get the tips and deserve it.

On a national holiday to scotland we stayed at the strathpeffer hotel at strathpeffer.the hotel and staff were very good but with a few small improvements would be excellent.the hotel is very comfortable and food good but the hotel is showing a few signs of age.a little decorating and improvements to showers would make a considerable improvement. No one could...

Often it is good to read reviews AFTER you have been somewhere. I wouldn't have gone here if I had read them in advance. The place is a strange mix of décor to be sure and not my choice at all. However, the other people seemed satisfied with their National Bus tour, and for what they were paying, then this...

Booked with National Holidays for a 5 day AI break at the Strathpeffer Hotel. Arrived after a 9 hour coach journey from the North East, tired and looking forward to a shower, a nice evening meal followed by a drink at the bar and some good Scottish entertainment. What a disappointment. The hotel is tired and in need of some...

Please don't choose to stay in the Strathpeffer unless you want to punish yourself for something really bad you've done. The food is terrible, my room was the size of a toilet cubicle and didn't smell much better and worst of all was the attitude of the owners. Guess they are just seeing big pound signs with all the offshore...

Like Anne below we booked this hotel months ago via booking.com. On arrival we were also told that there was a wasps nest and were moved to the awful Highlands Hotel. Had I known what awaited us I would not have accepted the compensatory bottle of wine. We later found out that the wasp story was a barefaced lie! What...
