The facilities are a little tired but easily rectified. Lots of small issues. The staff more than make up for these small faults. They are amazing and make you feel very welcome and that nothing is too much trouble.

I was made to feel very welcome from the first moment I stepped into this hotel and I had a wonderful experience in my 5 day stay at the hotel. There is a bar and restaurant which stay open quite late offering a lovely selection of food and drinks. There is a gym and swimming pool at the hotel which are also very easily accessible. The hotel has its own little golf course which you can go on for a bit of fun too! The staff here were amazing and I thank them ever so much for making me feel most welcomed. 10/10!!

We were in the area for a wedding and an overnight stay. We were greeted warmly at checkin and the staff were very friendly. The bar area is well laid out and is quite airy. The barman on duty was great and very attentive. We had paid extra for breakfast and were really looking forward to finishing off our trip with a tasty breakfast, enjoying the view from the restaurant. The service was slow, even though the hotel require you to pre book a slot. The continental offering was fairly basic and when the cooked breakfast arrived it was very apparent that at least some of the items had been pre cooked and reheated - to the extent that they were so hard they were almost impossible to eat. Staff weren’t really interested which was disappointing. I would not recommend spending £14.95 on breakfast in the hotel. There are a number of local eateries where you could get a better quality breakfast at a lesser cost. Really disappointing as breakfast is an important part and f the first overnight stay experience for us and we felt that this poor experience really tarnished our stay. On the plus side, the bed was very comfy and the rooms had a safe, iron and tea/coffee making facilities.

Always relaxing time. Having been going to The Marine hotel for a number of years now and it never lets us down. Love the refurbishment in dining room reception and bar lounge area. Can’t wait till next year and see the second stage of refurbishment.

We had a fantastic stay at the Marine, our room was so comfy and spacious! We used the gym, which was immaculate, and the pool, which my kids loved! Overall we felt refreshed and had the best night's sleep ever (my son's words!) Would definitely stay again
