My wife and I travelled to Loans, near Troon to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary and to meet two good friends for dinner. We couldn’t have picked a better venue and we were not disappointed. Check-in was a smooth operation and we were in our room in minutes. It was exceptional, with one of the largest bathrooms I've ever seen....

What beautiful surroundings with beautiful view. Had not booked table but staff were able to seat us. Friendly and warm atmosphere. The food was delicious with good portion sizes, so much so that dessert was not required. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

Hotel restaurant has great views over the Clyde to Arran on a clear day. Ask when you book for a window seat-Assuming you get a clear, sunny day it will be a bonus. Service was excellent and refreshing that the Sunday lunch menu was their normal A La Carte with a great selection of starters and main courses with more...

Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Staff were excellent at all times and the various courses served promptly while maintaining a very relaxed enjoyable atmosphere. The only minor point was the air conditioning above our table tended to cause a draft at our backs giving a slight chill and we had to ask for it to be turned down...

I think this is the best lunch I've ever eaten, couldn't find fault with anything, not that I was looking for faults 4 of us had booked in for lunch. We decided to do something different than sitting in reading a book or watching rubbish on the telly and headed down the coast. Haven't been here before but will certainly...

We had dinner at Highgrove on Saturday evening and for the first time ever we were disappointed. Firstly, my husband had mussels which he stated most he would have thrown away. They were so small and had no taste. It looked like their may have been a shortage of staff as they all looked under pressure. My husbampnd also re...

We booked afternoon tea for Saturday 11th February. The flyer shows a lovely picture of china teacups etc and we were looking forward to it. I booked at 10 am on the Saturday morning and I think our sandwiches were made at that time and left in the kitchen until we arrived at 1 p.m. - the bread was a...

Family lunch, 5 people today and everybody raved about each of their courses. I had the chicken pate which was a lovely smooth texture and beautiful flavour and the chicken curry with banana which was AMAZING. Tender chicken breast with crispy skin and a delicious mild curry sauce with the sweetness of the banana counterbalancing but not overwhelming. If I...
